En alerta Coahuila por incendio de Santiago, Nuevo León; mantiene brigadas en ejidos

Secretaría del Medio Ambiente mantiene cuadrillas de evacuación listas en cuatro ejidos de Arteaga que se ubican cerca de la zona del siniestro
SALTILLO, COAH.- Aunque el incendio forestal que comenzó el pasado jueves en la sierra de Santiago, Nuevo León, no representa un riesgo para la Sierra de Arteaga, las Secretaría del Medio Ambiente del estado de Coahuila mantiene brigadas listas en cuatro ejidos de la localidad para atender de manera inmediata cualquier eventualidad que pudiera presentarse pues el siniestro avanza rápidamente en el estado vecino.
De acuerdo con Protección Civil de Nuevo León, el siniestro avanza rápidamente debido a que hay rachas de viento superiores a los 50 kilómetros por hora, por lo que de manera preventiva, se evacuaron a 57 familias con 120 personas que habitan en Potrero Redondo el pasado viernes por la mañana.
Mientras tanto en Coahuila, la SEMA mantiene cuadrillas listas en los ejidos Los Lirios, Mesa de las Tablas, Potrero de Abrego y los Nuncio, del municipio de Arteaga que se ubican cerca de la zona del siniestro para reaccionar de manera inmediata en caso de ser necesario.
“El incendio está muy activo y nosotros estamos monitoreando velocidad de propagación y dirección con las brigadas que se encuentran en Los Lirios, Mesa de las Tablas, Potrero de Abrego, Los Nuncios. Estás ya están activadas para cualquier problema que se presente por este incendio y otros más que se llegasen a presentar”, apuntó el director de Recursos Naturales y Vida Silvestre de la Secretaría del Medio Ambiente, Jorge Guerrero.
Cabe señalar que el punto de colindancia más cercano con el siniestro se encuentra en el ejido Potrero de Ábrego en Arteaga, con 13 kilómetros de distancia, pero se encuentra dividido por una zona serrana de poca vegetación que no tiene zona boscosa.

Tan solo este fin de semana, los grupos contra incendios en Arteaga sofocaron tres siniestros en pastizales; mientras que este domingo se registró otro incendio, pero esta vez en la ciudad de Saltillo, en la Sierra de Zapalinamé por el Camino del Cuatro, al sur de la ciudad, mismo que se encuentra controlado.
No obstante, en Coahuila, de acuerdo con el Reporte de Incendios Forestales de la CONAFOR, en la entidad durante la semana del 18 al 24 de marzo se tuvo registro de dos incendios que consumieron 32 hectáreas de herbáceo y 26 más de arbustos, consumiendo un total de 56 hectáreas en menos de 7 días.
En lo que va del 2022, en Coahuila se han registrado 9 incendios en distintos municipios de la entidad que han consumido 116 hectáreas de matorral y pastizal.
