Interesa al Reino Unido invertir en Saltillo

El tema automotriz es el que llama la atención, afirma Jon Benjamin, embajador de aquel País en México
Temas como el desarrollo económico de la región y el impulso al clúster del auto eléctrico abordaron el alcalde de Saltillo, José María Fraustro Siller y el embajador del Reino Unido en México, Jon Benjamin.
En la reunión en donde además se estrecharon lazos de colaboración, el Alcalde mencionó que Saltillo es la capital más segura del País, lo que ha permitido, entre otros factores, la atracción de nuevas inversiones.
“Tenemos además coordinación interinstitucional, paz laboral y social, nivel educativo, salud y accesibilidad e infraestructura de comunicación lo que ha permitido que Saltillo y la región sea un lugar idóneo para la atracción de inversiones”, agregó Chema Fraustro.

Por su parte, Jon Benjamin, adelantó: “Nos interesa siempre buscar oportunidades para ampliar la red de inversiones británicas, queremos ver si existen posibilidades para que las empresas de punta británicas también se sumen al desarrollo regional en el tema automotriz”, mencionó.
Mencionó la evolución de la industria automotriz en la que se pone cada vez más crucial el cambio de los autos de combustible tradicionales a los eléctricos.
“En este tema esta zona está llevando, en cierta medida, la delantera mundialmente”, dijo.
El embajador del Reino Unido en México mencionó además que se mantienen abiertos a intercambios en diferentes ámbitos.

“Tenemos el esquema de becas de maestría Chevening en el Reino Unido con 40 años de existencia, tenemos más de 3 mil egresados mexicanos incluso oriundos de Coahuila, dijo.
Durante la reunión en la sede de la Presidencia Municipal estuvieron presentes Rory O´Kane, cónsul honorario de Reino Unido en Monterrey; y Mariana Melgarejo, encargada de Visitas y Asuntos Políticos de la Embajada de Reino Unido en México, mientras que del Gobierno Municipal estuvieron el secretario del Ayuntamiento, Carlos Alberto Estrada Flores; y el director de Comunicación Social, Héctor Manuel Reyes Soto.
