Román Cepeda, alcalde de Torreón, sin definir si buscará ser candidato a gobernador

“Yo me sumo al proyecto del gobernador Miguel Angel Riquelme, donde esté el gobernador ahí voy a estar yo”, aseguró Román Alberto Cepeda González, alcalde de Torreón, quien aún no decide si participará en la encuesta interna del PRI para elegir al candidato a la gubernatura.
“En 27 años de carrera nunca ha habido obsesiones en mis decisiones y éste no va a ser la excepción. Lo que le convenga a Coahuila habremos de estar ahí: primero los coahuilenses, primero Torreón y luego lo que sigue”, dijo.
Por ahora, su prioridad es Torreón y más adelante analizará lo que deba hacer en términos de política, y espera que el PRI tenga un candidato de unidad; además, apoyaría a quien ocupe el primer lugar en la encuesta del tricolor.
“Yo siempre he puesto mis principios y la congruencia por encima de las aspiraciones”, subrayó y ante la pregunta de si Manolo Jiménez Salinas va solo en la encuesta interna del PRI y si hay unidad en el partido, respondió que “lo que sí sé, es que hay un gobernador fuerte y que somos gente de trabajo”.
Con 27 años en el servicio público y en la política, aseguró que en su trayectoria ha prevalecido la congruencia.

“Siempre he puesto mis principios y la convicción por encima de mis aspiraciones y en este caso no será la excepción. Aquí a quien tenemos que demostrar la unidad y la certeza, es al priismo y a la ciudadanía, ese es el principal factor”, expuso.
Cepeda González no tiene fecha para decidir si participa en la encuesta interna del PRI para elegir al candidato a la gubernatura.
“Los tiempos los marcará el partido, ahorita estamos cerrando el capítulo con las últimas sesiones de Cabildo y con las direcciones en función de re-direccionar lo que viene para el 2023. Ya más adelante veremos lo que habrá de venir, que es en las próximas semanas”, concluyó.
