Indicadores de seguridad se deben medir por municipio, afirma Román Alberto Cepeda

TORREÓN, COAH.- La percepción de seguridad en la región se debe medir por municipio y no como zona metropolitana, se debe evaluar a cada uno de ellos y no descansar en el trabajo de otros, aseveró el alcalde Román Alberto Cepeda, al término de la reunión semanal de seguridad.
El Consejo Cívico de las Instituciones (CCI) La Laguna sugirió hace unos días que organismos como el INEGI midan los indicadores de seguridad y de percepción ciudadana regionalmente y no por municipio.
Manifestó que siempre ha presumido la zona metropolitana en todos sus aspectos, particularmente en términos de competitividad y productividad; sin embargo, “no podemos continuar con verdades o mentiras a medias”.

La Laguna de Coahuila representa 1.1 millones de habitantes de los 1.4 millones de los otros municipios de la zona metropolitana, explicó.
“Es importante reconocer el esfuerzo que hacen todos los municipios, pero también es importante saber en dónde estamos parados y a hacia a dónde queremos llegar”, explicó.
El CCI se encargó hace unos días de desestimar la zona metropolitana de La Laguna, cuando la percepción de seguridad debe medirse en lo individual, para conocer lo que está haciendo cada quien.
La seguridad en Torreón no es producto de la circunstancia, sino producto del trabajo y por eso pide que se mida a Torreón como municipio.
Las reuniones semanales de seguridad que encabeza, con la presencia de los demás órdenes de gobierno y los mandos militares, permiten conocer los aciertos y las deficiencias, saber si vamos en el camino correcto, explicó.
Tampoco podemos hacer esfuerzos aislados, debemos permanecer perfectamente coordinados y eso tiene que ver también con indicadores, por eso insistirá en que Torreón cuente con indicadores para seguir trabajando.

A lo que aspira Torreón es a que todos estemos bien, en un equilibrio y para ello tenemos que medir la percepción de seguridad en cada municipio, que no nos metan en la liquidadora.
Defendemos la zona metropolitana, pero también es importante defender la individualidad de cada municipio, conocer las áreas de oportunidad para seguir trabajando en la seguridad, pero tampoco aprovecharnos del trabajo de alguien más.
