Viene Fernández Noroña a conmemorar 74 años de la huelga minera de Nueva Rosita

Coahuila será el primer estado que visite el político, luego de ser nombrado presidente de la mesa directiva del Senado de la República
El Comité Estatal de Morena en Coahuila anunció que el próximo viernes, el presidente del Senado de la República, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, encabezará un homenaje a la “Caravana del Hambre”, tras 74 años de que se originó en Nueva Rosita.
La noticia la dio a conocer el dirigente estatal, Diego del Bosque, recordando que fue este uno de los sucesos más importantes de la historia de los trabajadores, y de los mineros en específico a nivel nacional.

Durante la visita, se recordará lo ocurrido en 1950, cuando un contingente de alrededor de cuatro mil personas, salió de este poblado de la Región Carbonífera de Coahuila, luego ser despedidos y violentados de sus derechos laborales por Mexican Zinc Company y Carbonífera de Sabinas.
Dicho contingente recorrió más de mil kilómetros hasta llegar a la Ciudad de México en situaciones de hambre y enfermedad, y allá fue reprimido y regresado a su lugar de origen en un tren, durante el mandato del ex presidente Miguel Alemán.
El senador Fernández Noroña conmemorará este suceso, partiendo para un recorrido que dará inicio en la Casa de la Cultura de Nueva Rosita a las 18:00 horas, y después realizará al día siguiente dos paradas; una en la Plaza Principal de Monclova a las 11:0 horas y una más en Saltillo a las 18:00 horas, en la Alameda Central.
Estas dos sedes formaron parte del recorrido que hace 74 años realizó la Caravana del Hambre.
