Regreso “tibio” de Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer cerró la segunda década del nuevo milenio más asentada en el ámbito personal al contraer matrimonio con Cooke Maroney a finales del 2019
Hace una década, la actriz norteamericana Jennifer Lawrence llegó a la cúspide de su trayectoria fílmica, a sus recién cumplidos 22 años de edad, al ganar el Oscar a la Mejor Actriz del 2012.
Esto sucedió con “Juegos del destino”, bajo la dirección del también norteamericano David O´Russell, pero también protagonizando la taquillera franquicia de películas de “Los juegos del Hambre”, consolidándose como una de las jóvenes actrices más cotizadas de la Meca del Cine, esto apenas unos años después de haber hecho su debut fílmico bajo las órdenes del cineasta mexicano Guillermo Arriaga en su ópera prima como director que fue “Fuego” (2008), el cual le dio a ganar el premio Marcello Mastroianni a la Mejor Revelación Actoral del Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia y de obtener su primera nominación al Oscar a la Mejor Actriz del 2010 por “Invierno profundo”, de Debra Granik.
Sin embargo, esa carrera ascendente en la que siguió combinando proyectos con el director David O- Russell (“Escándalo Americano”; “Joy; El nombre del éxito”) con sagas taquilleras, en su caso de superhéroes, con “X-Men”, se metió en terrenos pantanosos a partir de que combinó por primera vez su vida personal con la profesional al involucrarse sentimentalmente con el controvertido cineasta también norteamericano Darren Aronofsky a partir de la filmación de su desafortunada “¡Madre!”, del 2017, y de fiascos taquilleros con todo y formar mancuerna con Chris Pratt en la producción de ciencia ficción “Pasajeros”, de Morten Tyldum, en el 2016.
Jennifer cerró la segunda década del nuevo milenio más asentada en el ámbito personal al contraer matrimonio con Cooke Maroney a finales del 2019 y convirtiéndose en madre poco después, para en lo profesional iniciar la década del nuevo milenio formando parte del éxito de crítica y nominada al Oscar a la Mejor Película del 2021, “No miren arriba”, de Adam McKay, así como enfocándose en producir y protagonizar una película independiente y de bajo presupuesto que la devuelve al perfil bajo con el que comenzó pero historias que eran sobresalientes por retratar a mujeres de diferentes estratos y zonas geográficas de la sociedad norteamericana en los que vale la pena enfocar los reflectores y que el fin de semana pasado estrenó a través de la plataforma de Apple TV.
El filme en cuestión lleva el título en español muy simbólico para esta etapa de su trayectoria fílmica de “Resurgir” (“Causeway”), y en ella Lawrence interpreta a Lynsey, una mujer soldado quien en su estadía en Afganistán sufre una lesión traumática, pero al regresar a su hogar en Nueva Orleans, Lousiana, el enfrentarse a un pasado del que de alguna manera huyó al enrolarse en el ejército, se propone demostrarse apta para regresar a combate, algo que parece reafirmar su contacto con un mecánico afroamericano de la localidad de nombre James (Brian Tyree Henry).
Quizás por tratarse de la ópera prima de la joven cineasta Lila Neugebrauer (“Room 104”; “La vida secreta de las universitarias”) es que “Resurgir”, si bien cumple su cometido en regresar a sus orígenes al hacer mancuerna con mujeres talentosas tras la cámara en historias necesarias para contarse, en su temática se queda tibia frente a clásicos como el de “Regreso sin Gloria” (Hal Ashby, 1978), donde aunque la protagonista femenina no era lesionada de la guerra sino una enfermera como la que protagonizó Jane Fonda y le hizo ganar su segundo Oscar sí hizo memorable su relación con su paciente y víctima directa del conflicto bélico (Jon Voight, ganador también de la estatuilla).
