Román Alberto Cepeda González entrega 300 sillas de ruedas

Con una inversión superior a los 700 mil pesos, el alcalde Román Alberto Cepeda González, y la Presidenta Honoraria del DIF Torreón, la señora Selina Bremer de Cepeda, hicieron entrega de 300 sillas de ruedas para personas con discapacidad motriz, entre los 16 y 88 años.
En la primera entrega del año del programa De ruedas corazón, el Presidente Municipal comentó que en Torreón el 4.5 por ciento de la población tiene algún tipo de discapacidad, y para la Administración Municipal es una prioridad la atención a este sector para favorecer su inclusión.
El que podamos contribuir a cambiar un poco su vida, su movilidad, su expectativa de vida, que podamos contribuir en la movilidad en su hogar y hasta cualquier otro tipo de actividad, para nosotros, para Román, para Selina y para toda la Administración, es muy importante, expresó el edil.

Cada quien, agregó, desde diferente espacio: como un orden de gobierno, empresa, trabajadores, entre otros, puede colaborar para construir un Torreón con una mejor calidad de vida.
Les quiero comentar que no hemos descansado un solo día de la Administración en la parte noble como es DIF Torreón, pero también seguimos trabajando en materia de seguridad, no vamos a descansar hasta construir una mejor movilidad, infraestructura, imagen y tener una mejor ciudadanía, dijo Cepeda González.
El Alcalde destacó la colaboración con el gobernador Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, en ese sentido dijo que se seguirá trabajando para tener mejores obras, más seguridad, empleos, cultura y mejores vialidades.
Por su parte, la señora Selina Bremer de Cepeda, Presidenta Honoraria del DIF Torreón, dijo que se trata de la primera entrega de 2023 del programa De ruedas corazón; en 2022 se realizaron cuatro entregas con diferentes tipos de aparatos ortopédicos.
