Se reducen 63% atenciones por suicidio en Coahuila
De acuerdo con datos de la Secretaría de Salud de Coahuila, los índices de ideación suicida muestran un mayor numeral en el grupo de personas atendidas por intento de suicidio que cuentan con edades de entre los 18 y los 60 años.
La estadística señala que hasta el corte del pasado mes de agosto se ha brindado algún servicio psiquiátrico o psicológico a un total de 59 personas que se encuentran entre el rango de edad mencionado.
En comparación con 2020, la cifra se redujo en un 63 por ciento, ya que los registros señalan que en ese año se dieron 161 atenciones por intento de suicidio, dice la SS.
Respecto del grupo de edad de entre 0 a 11 años, hasta el mes de agosto de 2020 se brindó atención a una sola persona, mientras que en el año anterior se tuvieron 2 registros derivado del intento de suicidio.
En lo que respecta al grupo de entre 12 a 17 años que intentó el suicidio, se observó que se brindaron 19 atenciones hasta agosto de este año mientras que en 2020 se tuvieron 48 registros, es decir, 29 personas más que recibieron atenciones psiquiátricas, médicas o psicológicas.
En el grupo de 60 años y más se brindó servicio de atención a una sola persona durante el tercer trimestre del año, mientras que en 2020 se tuvo un registro de 5 personas adultas mayores que intentaron el suicidio y que recibieron algún tipo de atención médica o psiquiátrica.
En este sentido y según declaró la Secretaría de Salud, el comportamiento de personas que solicitaron atención médica por intento de suicidio, incluyendo la ideación suicida, no muestra un incremento en 2021 respecto a 2020.
Por otro lado, observaron que a tres meses de concluir el año, la expectativa es que el promedio de atenciones por estas causas se mantenga de forma similar, sin esperar un incremento.
La subdirección de Prevención y Promoción de la Salud adjunta a la Secretaría de Salud de Coahuila, señaló que para la prevención del suicidio se mantienen servicios de asistencia médica, seguimiento y evaluación, además de que la detección temprana se realiza en unidades de salud, escuelas y empresas a través de conductas de riesgo como la depresión.
“Se aplica el Protocolo de atención en unidades de primer nivel a través de la detección, medidas de contención y referencia temprana, apoyo en situación de crisis, la disposición de la línea de la vida, además de atención especializada como psicología y psiquiatría”, puntualizó la Secretaría de Salud en el Estado.
