Aumenta drogadicción y sólo tres adictos reciben tratamiento

Monclova, Coahuila.- Al operar solamente centros de prevención y no de rehabilitación, la jurisdicción sanitaria desconoce el porcentaje de adicción a las drogas en la región centro y en lo que va del año solo tres personas se enviaron al centro de adicciones de la Secretaría de Salud en Saltillo.
Los elementos de la Policía Municipal detienen a diario a personas adictos a estupefacientes, en su mayoría hombres que se drogan con resistol en las calles, por lo general en el sector oriente de Monclova.
La titular de la jurisdicción sanitaria 04, Rosa Nilda Arocha Méndez, reconoció que en la región centro se incrementaron los consumidores, desde niños que usan solventes hasta jóvenes y adultos que utilizan pastillas y fuman mariguana.
Sí se dan, hay muchas adicciones en la región y todas esas sustancias provocan desordenes mentales, comentó.
Pero los municipios de la región centro no cuentan con un centro de rehabilitación, los únicos que operan son de prevención, de tal manera que la jurisdicción 04 de la Secretaría de Salud desconoce cuántos son los adictos, el alcance y las muertes por esta causa.
En lo que va del año, solo a tres pacientes se les dio la oportunidad de rehabilitarse en el centro de adicciones en Saltillo; se trata de jóvenes menores de 19 años, pues por el momento no se atiende a los adultos.
Rosa Nilda Arocha Méndez dijo que continuarán trabajando con los programas de prevención, principalmente en planteles educativos con el apoyo de psicólogos y médicos, para disminuir el consumo en adolescentes.
