Instalarán 20 parquímetros inteligentes en el Centro Histórico de Saltillo

Este 26 de septiembre el Gobierno Municipal de Saltillo iniciará la primera etapa del programa de parquímetros inteligentes “Tu espacio”, que busca mejorar la infraestructura y movilidad del Centro Histórico.
Eduardo Morelos Jiménez, coordinador del programa de Parquímetros, informó que este lunes inicia la instalación de cuatro módulos informativos que se ubicarán en la Plaza Nueva Tlaxcala, Plaza Manuel Acuña, así como en los cruces de las calles Victoria y Xicoténcatl, además de Manuel Acuña y Narciso Mendoza.
“Estos módulos estarán dando información a través de trípticos a los saltillenses sobre este programa que renueva el sistema de parquímetros en la zona centro de la ciudad, además de poder registrar a los residentes de esta zona que no cuenten con cochera, y tramitar un permiso gratuito para el uso de un cajón de estacionamiento cerca de su domicilio”, indicó.
Puntualizó que es a partir del miércoles 28 de septiembre que se comenzará con la instalación de los primeros 20 parquímetros inteligentes, principalmente en las calles Victoria e Ignacio Allende.
Morelos Jimémnez refirió que se tiene previsto sea en el mes de octubre que se comience ya con la operación en estos equipos inteligentes de estacionamiento, mes en el que se tiene contemplado haya concluido la instalación total de 121 equipos que controlarán tres mil 180 cajones de estacionamiento.
“Este programa Tu espacio fue diseñado gracias a la propuesta ciudadana, así como de comerciantes, para ordenar el uso de cajones de estacionamiento, y que Cabildo municipal, así como el Congreso del Estado aprobaron”, dijo.
Morelos Jiménez señaló que estos equipos de parquímetros inteligentes cuentan con la más avanzada tecnología en conjunto con la plataforma Parkum, líder mundial en pagos digitales.
Beneficios para la ciudad
El coordinador mencionó que estos parquímetros podrán pagarse con monedas de uso corriente, tarjeta o a través de una aplicación desde el celular, para que todas las personas puedan hacer uso de estos modernos equipos de estacionamiento.

“La instrucción es la de beneficiar directamente a los saltillenses con la implementación de este programa, que busca mejorar la infraestructura del Centro Histórico, pues una parte se destinará hacia ese objetivo”, indicó.
Morelos resaltó que este sistema ayuda a la ciudadanía a encontrar con mayor facilidad un lugar de estacionamiento, además de promover la rotación de consumidores en comercios, disminuir el tráfico vehicular y reducir la contaminación.
Morelos Jiménez informó que en los próximos días se desplegará una campaña en redes sociales a fin de ampliar información sobre los beneficios del programa.
Fue desde la administración del entonces alcalde Jericó Abramo que se procedió al retiro de parquímetros obsoletos en la Zona Centro.
