‘Transporte de Ramos Arizpe no merece aumento’; descarta alcalde incremento a tarifa

RAMOS ARIZPE, COAH.- Mientras en otros municipios de Coahuila se analiza la posibilidad de aumentar la tarifa del transporte público, el alcalde de Ramos Arizpe, José María Morales Padilla, descartó que esto fuera a ocurrir en el municipio.
“No espero ningún incremento, no veo condiciones, veo que lejos de mejorar, creo que algunas rutas incluso empeoraron el tema de las unidades”, sostuvo el Edil.
Asimismo, explicó que la pandemia que empezó en 2020 afectó significativamente al sector del transporte público, pues limitar la movilidad ciudadana era una de las principales medidas para mitigar la propagación del virus SARS-CoV-2.
Por ejemplo, la suspensión de clases presenciales y algunas actividades económicas provocó que las personas no salieran de casa y dejaran de utilizar las rutas urbanas, algunas de las cuales llegaron a desaparecer durante algún periodo.
Sin embargo, el alcalde José María Morales subrayó que después de dos años ya existen las condiciones normales de movilidad gracias a la reanudación de clases presenciales y actividades económicas.
JUSTIFICACIÓN NO CONVENCE
“Ellos justifican siempre este tema (aumento a la tarifa) por el tema del alto costo de la gasolina, que es el principal insumo, y el alto costo que se ha tenido por parte de las refacciones, insumos y demás”, señaló Morales Padilla.
Pero subrayó que “no hemos visto una mejora constante en el tema del transporte, no creo que se merecerían un incremento”.
A la pregunta de si el Municipio de Ramos Arizpe podría aportar subsidios al transporte público para que la tarifa a los usuarios no incrementara y para generar mecanismos que obliguen a los concesionarios a mejorar el servicio, más allá del compromiso, el alcalde José María Morales apuntó que se tendría que analizar el recurso, pero descartó que esto fuera a ocurrir.
“Yo creo que Ramos Arizpe por el tema de potencial económico que tiene no requiere tanto de la subvención del municipio, requiere que haya un compromiso mutuo de concesionarios y obviamente de los usuarios de transporte para mejorar esto”, dijo para VANGUARDIA.
Asimismo recordó que durante el primer año de su anterior administración se hizo una serie de cambios al transporte, como el retiro de unidades, rotulación y capacitación de choferes.
¿Y EN SALTILLO?
Los concesionarios del transporte público de Saltillo solicitaron elevar la tarifa hasta 17 pesos, luego del incremento en las rutas intermunicipales que entró en vigor el 2 de junio.
El Cabildo de Saltillo tendrá la última palabra sobre el monto que alcanzará el alza, pues el pasaje no ha sufrido cambios en los últimos tres años, explicó el titular del Instituto Municipal de Transporte (IMT), Hector Gutiérrez Cabello.
