México en llamas: registran 113 incendios forestales activos; han afectado 13 mil 262 hectáreas

Conafor indicó que se han liquidado 45 incendios, que registraron una afectación en 4 mil 518 hectáreas de superficie
La Comisión Nacional Forestal (Conafor) informó que para este viernes 29 de marzo registra hasta ahora 113 incendios forestales activos en México, con una afectación a 13 mil 262 hectáreas en 20 estados del país.
En su reporte diario, con corte a las 11:00 h, la Conafor indicó que se han liquidado 45 incendios, los cuales registraron una afectación en 4 mil 518 hectáreas de superficie preliminar.
“A las 11:00 horas del día de hoy, se reportan 45 #IncendiosForestales liquidados y 113 siniestros activos”, refirió en redes sociales.
Al sumar los fuegos activos y apagados se registraron 158 incendios forestales este día, con más de 17 mil 780 hectáreas afectadas.

También informó que 6 mil 888 personas se ocuparon en el combate del fuego y en actividades de apoyo en los estados afectados por las llamas.
El Estado de México es la región que concentra el mayor número de incendios forestales activos, con 18; número compartido con Chiapas.
Le siguen Guerrero con 10; Chihuahua y Michoacán con 9 cada una de las entidades.
La Conafor precisó que 24 Áreas Naturales Protegidas (ANP) están inmersas en incendios forestales, principalmente en el centro del país, entre ellas el Parque Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl y el Nevado de Toluca, en el Estado de México.
Además del santuario de la mariposa monarca en Zitácuaro, Michoacán; la Sierra Gorda, en el estado de Querétaro, junto con la Selva El Ocote y el Cerro Mactumatzá, en Chiapas.

¿POR QUÉ SURGE UN INCENDIO?
Según datos del Centro Nacional de Prevención de Desastres (Cenapred), el 90 por ciento de los incendios forestales surgen por descuidos, actos de vandalismo o imprudencia, mientras que solo uno de cada 10 derivan de fenómenos naturales como descargas eléctricas o erupciones volcánicas.
Sin embargo, el presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, no descartó el miércoles que la ola de incendios que se presenta actualmente en el país pueda ser provocada y sugirió que los responsables podrían ser empresas inmobiliarias.
En México, se ubican dos temporadas de incendios forestales, con la primera entre enero y junio para las zonas centro, norte, noreste, sur y sureste del país.
La segunda temporada es en el noroeste del país y va de mayo a septiembre.

Entre el 1 de enero y el 15 de marzo de 2024 se han reportado 400 incendios en al menos 16 estados, con más de 13 mil 419 hectáreas afectadas y Estado de México con el mayor número, con un total de 63.
Conafor pidió a los ciudadanos que si salen al campo, no arrojen cerillos o cigarros encendidos.
Se puede reportar un incendio forestal al teléfono 800 737 00 00, así como al número de emergencias 911.
