Campañas en Coahuila: mitos y realidades

1. Mito: Las campañas se ganan durante el proceso electoral.
Realidad: Falso. Las campañas se ganan en el periodo previo al mismo con base en seis criterios indivisibles: (1) trabajar de manera meticulosa −durante años previos a la campaña− para fortalecer la relación entre partido y estructura territorial; (2) apuntalar una militancia partidista, profesional, disciplinada y experimentada; (3) enraizar una sólida presencia territorial del partido en los 38 municipios del estado; (4) precisar una capacidad política del gobernador para deshacer entuertos al interior y al exterior del partido; (5) asegurar, por su parte, un buen ejercicio de gobierno aunado a un sólido control político del estado y (6) afirmar su voluntad para dejar un sucesor con alta rentabilidad electoral y la capacidad de continuar e innovar su legado en el tiempo. Este es el caso del PRI Coahuila, con Miguel Riquelme y Manolo Jiménez.
2. Mito: Las personas votan de manera informada y razonada.
Realidad: Falso. Sólo un pequeño segmento de la población vota de esa manera. La gran mayoría apela a sus emociones: miedo, antipatía, rabia, simpatía, coraje e indignación para votar. Y encuentra en las redes sociales la mejor manera de justificar su elección.
En el caso de Coahuila, el voto originado entre la razón y la emoción de las clases medias y las clases altas, será para la coalición partidista abanderada por Manolo. Mientras, de manera general, las clases populares que sobreviven al día, temerosas de perder los beneficios de los programas sociales del Gobierno Federal, votarán, mayormente, por Morena el próximo 4 de junio.
3. Mito: Los debates durante el proceso electoral pueden marcar la diferencia.
Realidad: Los debates pueden influir, sólo si la diferencia entre dos candidatos es mínima. De otra manera, por formato y alcance su incidencia es mínima.
4. Mito: Las redes sociales pueden mover las preferencias electorales.
Realidad: Influyen si el candidato liga −de manera metódica y sistemática− su campaña en territorio, su campaña en aire −medios de comunicación y espectaculares− y su campaña en redes sociales para diferenciar y contrastar sus propuestas con relación a las de sus contrarios. Y atacarlos, cuando sea necesario.
5. Mito: “Las guerras sucias” que enlodan a los candidatos siempre son exitosas.
Realidad: De excederse, las “guerras sucias” pueden envenenar a los candidatos que las provocan y destruirse a sí mismos. Esas “guerras sucias” podrían ser exitosas si tienen la capacidad de golpear al adversario sin convertirlo en una víctima. Pero es una tarea difícil, porque el elector promedio desconfía de los políticos y más cuando privilegian los ataques y no las propuestas.
En ese sentido, Armando Guadiana y Ricardo Mejía han fortalecido a Manolo y sus propuestas, porque sus intentonas de “guerra sucia” han topado con pared de acero.
El elector promedio valora que Manolo haga a un lado esos ataques para, con claridad puntual, proponer un mejor futuro a las cinco Regiones del estado, radicalmente distinto al propuesto por Morena y el Partido del Trabajo.
6. Mito: En tiempos de polarización, los políticos que exacerban el odio y la venganza entre sus electores pueden crear una base político-electoral fuerte.
Realidad: En cualquier otro lugar del país sería posible, pero en Coahuila no. En nuestro estado, el votante promedio de clase media y alta pasó −sin olvidar− su indignación por la deuda heredada por Humberto Moreira a una preocupación básica: evitar que su persona y su familia padezcan la violencia e inseguridad propia de los estados gobernados por Morena, como lo son Zacatecas, Tamaulipas, Sinaloa y Sonora, entre otros.
Por esa razón, Ricardo Mejía, el candidato de la polarización rabiosa, sin base social y sin estructura partidista, pero sí con la bandera del odio y de la venganza, no pasará del 15 por ciento de votación el próximo 4 de junio.
7. Mito: En el día de las elecciones, las prácticas del acarreo, “el carrusel”, “el ratón loco” y “la urna embarazada” son comunes.
Realidad: Falso. Con excepción de la práctica del acarreo, común entre todos los partidos políticos, el resto ya es inexistente.
