Abrirá este mes en Saltillo albergue del DIF para menores migrantes
El albergue para niños de procedencia migratoria y sus familias que se construye al oriente de Saltillo abrirá sus puertas al finalizar octubre, dijo el director general del DIF Coahuila, Roberto Cárdenas Zavala.
Por ahora el edificio se encuentra en un 85 por ciento y espera albergar a 5 familias completas y al menos 20 niñas, niños y adolescentes no acompañados.
La operación de este espacio quedará a cargo del Gobierno del Estado, por lo que se tendrá que insistir en la expensa del recurso federal para la atención a la población migrante que se retiró desde 2018.
Previo a la apertura del espacio, el DIF Coahuila deberá reunirse con el Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM), la Procuraduría para los Niños, las Niñas y la Familia (Pronnif) y la Agencia de la ONU para los Refugiados (Acnur).
“Debemos establecer un reglamento y un procedimiento para recibir a los niños no acompañados y también a los que vienen acompañados de sus familias, pues el fenómeno migratorio es constante”, comenta Cárdenas Zavala.
AUMENTA FLUJO DE
NIÑOS MIGRANTES
La Unidad de Política Migratoria de la Secretaría de Gobernación detectó en Coahuila un incremento de 16 por ciento en el flujo de niños migrantes, esto durante los primeros 7 meses del año.
De acuerdo con los datos oficiales, entre enero y julio de este año al menos mil 403 menores de edad fueron presentados ante el Instituto Nacional de Migración.
Según los datos, esta situación ha incrementado en 16 por ciento en comparación del año anterior, cuando en el mismo periodo se había presentado a mil 200 menores migrantes.
Del total de los menores presentados, 452 tienen entre 12 y 17 años de edad, y de ellos 151 no estaban acompañados.
Después está el grupo de niños de entre cero y 11 años, donde existe registro de 951 menores, de los cuales 106 viajaban solos.
En todos estos casos, la autoridad lo destaca como “presentaciones”, pues algunos tuvieron la oportunidad de regular su estancia con sus familias, mientras que para otros sí hubo retorno asistido a sus países de origen.
En el informe publicado por el Gobierno Federal, se destaca que gran parte de estos menores de edad son de países como: Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cuba, Panamá, Haití y Venezuela.
