Al fin abren albergue para familiares de pacientes del Hospital Materno Infantil en Saltillo
Más adelante podría ampliarse el número de personas que puedan albergarse, pero por ahora permanece en siete padres que puedan esperar a sus hijos que estén hospitalizados
Tras meses de permanecer cerrado y obligar a los padres foráneos con hijos internados a acampar en la calle, el albergue del Hospital Materno Infantil abrió sus puertas.
De acuerdo con el director del nosocomio infantil, Carlos Oyervides, al momento se albergan dos padres de pequeños internados, aunque el espacio está diseñado para recibir hasta a siete personas.
“Ya está abierto, anoche se quedaron dos personas en el albergue”, comentó el funcionario y recordó que solamente los foráneos podrán acceder a este beneficio.

Señaló que más adelante podría ampliarse el número de personas que puedan albergarse, pero por ahora permanece en siete padres que puedan esperar a sus hijos que estén hospitalizados.
Por su parte, Alma de Bernal, presidenta del Voluntariado, señaló que será el personal de Servicio Social del Hospital el que atienda el albergue y quien decida a quién le dan el pase y se proporciona el espacio, luego de que la Diócesis de Saltillo no pudo administrar este lugar.
“El servicio es para que se puedan quedar a dormir y se puedan bañar; se irá abriendo por partes, posteriormente se abrirá un espacio para el comedor. En este momento se pueden guardar alimentos en un área”, manifestó.
El servicio se otorgará a personas que vengan de lugares muy lejanos y que no puedan regresar a sus casas, agregó.
Fue el pasado 16 de agosto cuando el titular de la Secretaría de Salud en Coahuila, Roberto Bernal Gómez, habría declarado: “El albergue ya está listo, estamos haciendo gestiones para ver cómo lo vamos a manejar, porque son siete turnos, vigilancia y aseo; es probable que el obispo Hilario González nos ayude a trabajar esto y nosotros estamos en negociaciones con ellos; yo espero que en cualquier momento esté en funciones”.
Apenas el 27 de noviembre VANGUARDIA dio a conocer que tres madres de familia pasaron la noche en casas de campaña (cuando un frente frío golpeó con fuerza la región), esperando noticias de sus hijos.

El Materno Infantil fue inaugurado en la pasada administración estatal, aunque fue hasta este año cuando luego de una inversión de 250 millones de pesos, se puso en funcionamiento.
