Entrega Voluntariado pelucas oncológicas y prótesis capilares
Con el propósito de brindar apoyo a los pacientes con diagnóstico de cáncer, la Secretaría de Salud del Estado, a través del Voluntariado de Salud, hizo entrega de pelucas oncológicas y prótesis capilares en las instalaciones del Centro Oncológico “Salvador Chavarría”, esto como parte del Programa “Taller de pelucas artesanales oncológicas”.
En su mensaje, la presidenta del Voluntariado de Salud, Alma Lee Chibli de Bernal, agradeció a los pacientes beneficiados por abrirse a la oportunidad de recibir acompañamiento emocional durante su proceso de recuperación.
“Para nosotros es muy importante en el voluntariado dar este soporte emocional, que creo que significan las pelucas, porque las personas que atraviesan por un padecimiento como el cáncer muchas veces se sienten de una manera diferente al momento de salir a la calle, de usar un turbante. Por eso las pelucas que nosotros hacemos en el taller son para que los pacientes se sientan mejor”, dijo Lee Chibli de Bernal.
Asimismo, destacó que entregar estas pelucas oncológicas gratuitas son un aliciente emocional, que busca impactar de manera positiva en la autoestima de las personas beneficiadas, además de tratarse de un proceso totalmente artesanal.
“Para elaborar estas pelucas empleamos de 8 a 13 trenzas, dependiendo de su grosor, y hay que hacerlas con un proceso que aprendimos de la Red de Talleres de Pelucas Oncológicas del País, del cual somos el octavo taller; gracias a esa técnica hemos entregado varias pelucas en todo el Estado”, destacó Lee Chibli.
