Rechazan médicos coahuilenses contratación de cubanos

Médicos coahuilenses desaprobaron el anuncio del gobierno federal sobre la contratación de 500 médicos cubanos ante el supuesto déficit de personal de salud que existe en el país, quienes se unieron a la manifestación virtual en redes sociales.
El Director de la Facultad de Medicina, Ángel Padilla lamentó que siendo el gremio más afectado durante la pandemia y quienes enfrentaron la batalla desde los hospitales hoy sean menospreciados.
“Como Director me interesa que la gente sepa que las escuelas son sometidas a un escrutinio de instituciones que buscan garantizar la calidad de la enseñanza de los futuros médicos, de esa manera las escuelas están certificadas y acreditadas, mientras mantenemos el compromiso de que esos egresados reúnan las habilidades para una buena práctica médica”, expresó Padilla.
Los que pretenden hacer una especialización deben concursar por tener un acceso a la misma, donde hay muchísimos aspirantes y pocos los aceptados, agregó, de tal manera que si llegara a faltar especialistas es porque no hay espacios suficientes para prepararlos.
“Nos duele que siendo un país de mayor mortandad de médicos, ya no sean contratados, no sentimos que el gobierno haya ponderado, reconocido o agradecido el riesgo que el gremio corrió cuando no se contaba con los elementos necesarios. Nos sentimos defraudados, menospreciados”, lamentó el también médico bariatra.
Y nos apena, agregó, que a los médicos que se fajaron para enfrentar esta contingencia y demostraron su labor, sean ahora marginados, ni siquiera reconocidos y que se pretenda contratar a médicos cubanos.
Si faltan en áreas rurales o suburbanas es porque no se abren plazas suficientes, dijo el Director, los estudiantes ya hasta hacen bromas con mejor ir a la embajada de Cuba y solicitar dicha nacionalidad, para ver si así les dan trabajo, finalizó.
