Disuelve INM caravana ‘Viacrucis Migrante’

TAPACHULA, CHIS.- El INM informó que ayer por la noche fue disuelta la caravana autodenominada “Viacrucis Migrante”, que partió el pasado viernes de la ciudad de Tapachula.
En total 701 personas migrantes (500 hombres, 126 mujeres y 75 menores de edad), fueron conducidas por agentes de migración a los estados de Chiapas, Oaxaca y Tabasco para brindarles atención y resolver su situación migratoria, resaltó el Instituto.
La caravana estaba integrada por personas originarias de Haití, Venezuela, Cuba, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Brasil, Chile, República Dominicana, Senegal, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Argentina, Uruguay, Bangladés, Perú y Mauritania.
Salieron de la ciudad de Tapachula y transitaron por el poblado Viva México hasta el ejido Álvaro Obregón, donde determinaron aceptar el apoyo de las autoridades migratorias.
A través de un comunicado de prensa, el INM dependiente de la Secretaría de Gobernación, señaló que con apego a los derechos humanos se auxilió a personas que integran grupos vulnerables y que integraban la caravana; quienes viajaban en núcleo familiar quedaron bajo tutela y protección del DIF en las tres entidades referidas.
Se detalla que el mismo día de su salida y luego de caminar 20 kilómetros, un grupo de la caravana llegó al ejido de Álvaro Obregón; 95 de ellos se entregaron voluntariamente a la autoridad migratoria.
