Exigen vecinos rehabilitar la calle General Cepeda en Saltillo; Municipio envía la respuesta

Aunque es una de las calles más transitadas del Centro Histórico, el adoquín está en pésimas condiciones
Vecinas de la antigua Calle Real de Santiago, llamada así hasta el 5 de mayo de 1916 en que cambió a General Victoriano Cepeda, pidieron al Gobierno del Estado y el Municipio el recarpeteo o pavimentación completa, en el tramo de Aldama a Simón Bolívar, en la zona centro.
El Municipio informó que trabajan en la elaboración de un expediente técnico para rehabilitar la céntrica calle y próximamente la Dirección de Obras Públicas presentará el resultado y las alternativas para mejorar la vialidad y, al mismo tiempo, dar mayor seguridad.

Ese tramo presenta un deterioro significativo en la carpeta asfáltica y el adoquín, pues las diferentes administraciones han realizado bacheo de grandes superficies sin respetar la colocación de adoquín, de manera que se observan “tortas” de asfalto sobre el mismo.
En varios puntos el pavimento levantado o hundido obliga a los conductores a reducir la velocidad para evitar daños en los vehículos, incluso, los choferes de camiones prefieren disminuir la velocidad.
Adoquín destrozado o que desapareció al paso de los años distingue el cruce de la calle Victoriano Cepeda con el callejón La Matanza, donde a finales del siglo 19 se sacrificaban animales para distribuir la carne en la ciudad. En el cruce con el Callejón del Progreso, ahora calle Escobedo, también hay deterioro del pavimento y el adoquín.
En la unión con el Callejón del Caracol se encuentra una alcantarilla de drenaje con la tapa destrozada. En varios tramos el pavimento y el adoquín comparten la mitad de la calle, en otros domina el pavimento y en otros el adoquín, mientras que en el cruce con la antigua Calle del Camposanto, hoy Juárez, las placas de pavimento hundidas, levantadas y agrietadas reclaman el recarpeteo o repavimentación total.
La señora Silvia Rocha Castillo, habitante de una de las antiguas casas de adobe y techos de tierra, señaló que desde 1996 no hay obras de reparación de la calle, a excepción de parches en diferentes puntos.

“Uno de los problemas más graves son los baches, son años que no se checa el pavimento, no obstante que es la primera calle que hubo en Saltillo, la tienen sumamente descuidada. En tono de broma los taxistas le pusieron la calle Buñuelo”, afirma.
“Una calle tan histórica y vean las condiciones en que está, llena de baches, algún parche le pusieron hace años y no va con el adoquín”, dijo, por lo que recomendó al Municipio colocar concreto y darle forma de adoquines con moldes hechos a la medida del adoquín original y recuperar parte del Saltillo antiguo.
En tanto, María del Rosario Aguilar, solicitó a las autoridades arreglar la vialidad “porque ya está muy pedregudo, muy pozudo, y tiene mucho tráfico. Sería de gran ayuda que nos echaran la mano, que arreglaran porque ya se requiere mejorar la calle”, dijo.
