Piedras Negras, Coah.- El alcalde Claudio Bres Garza se reunió en la Ciudad de México con Daniel Fajardo Ortiz, subsecretario de Desarrollo Urbano y Vivienda del país, para presentar el megaproyecto de obra icónica para Piedras Negras.
Este consiste en un ambicioso y extenso plan de construcción de un área social que da continuidad a la obra de El Cabo, recientemente inaugurado, de tal forma que desarrollarían en los terrenos contiguos que compró la administración municipal.
El gobernador de Coahuila, Miguel Ángel Riquelme ha comprometido su apoyo para este proyecto y ahora también la Federación, que desde la visita a Piedras Negras del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador manifestó públicamente su interés por esta obra.
El subsecretario dijo que le pareció una iniciativa extraordinaria y recordó que fue un compromiso público del presidente apoyar la propuesta, aunque antes debe ser analizada por la dependencia para determinar condiciones y tiempos para una vez definido, realizar el proyecto ejecutivo y ver las aportaciones.
El presidente municipal también presentó el proyecto a Ana Gabriela González, directora general de coordinación de representaciones de Secretaria de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano.
