GM amenaza con no invertir en México

Francisco Garza, presidente y director general de GM México, expresó que si nuestro país no tiene un marco estructural enfocado a la producción de energías renovables sería difícil que la automotriz siga invirtiendo
De acuerdo al diario El Norte, sería posible que la automotriz General Motors ya no invierta en México, esto de no existir un marco jurídico enfocado a la producción de energías renovables en nuestro país.
Lo anterior lo dio a conocer Francisco Garza, presidente y director general de GM México durante su participación en la 49 Convención nacional del Instituto Mexicano de Ejecutivos de Finanzas:
“Si no existe un marco jurídico, un marco estructural en México enfocado a la producción de energías renovables, General Motors no va a parar su visión cero, cero, cero y desafortunadamente si no existen las condiciones, México ya no va a ser un destino para la inversión”.
Y es que la marca tiene como meta a largo plazo lograr “cero emisiones, cero colisiones y cero congestionamiento”, y eso sería complicado de lograr si en México no existe una política definida sobre la generación de energías renovables.
“Si las condiciones no están en la mesa, creo que México no va a ser destino de inversión en el corto y mediano plazo y hoy en día como nuestras inversiones tardan entre cinco y siete años, estamos evaluando que si las condiciones no están, pues ese dólar que se iba a invertir en México se va a Estados Unidos, a Canadá, a Brasil, a China, a Europa y México deja de ser un destino importante”, habría expuesto el directivo, de acuerdo a El Norte.
