Tiene Saltillo la tasa más baja de informalidad laboral en México: Inegi
44 por ciento de las personas ocupadas se encuentran en el sector industrial; mientras que el 26.6 por ciento corresponde a la tasa de informalidad laboral
Saltillo aparece, en una encuesta del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), como la ciudad con la tasa de informalidad laboral más baja en todo el país, mientras que casi la mitad de las personas ocupadas laboran en el sector industrial.
La última Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo del Inegi arroja que Saltillo tiene una tasa de informalidad laboral de 26.6 por ciento de los trabajos que ofrece la ciudad a la población económicamente activa y ocupada. Torreón, el otro municipio coahuilense que aparece, registra una tasa de 40 por ciento.
Con ello, la capital de Coahuila aparece con la tasa de informalidad laboral más baja entre 39 ciudades que fueron tomadas en cuenta para la encuesta. El Inegi contempla en la informalidad laboral a todos aquellos trabajadores cuyo vínculo o dependencia laboral no le da acceso a la seguridad social o no es reconocido por la fuente de trabajo con las prestaciones mínimas de la ley.

La encuesta también revela que Saltillo es la tercera ciudad con más personas laborando en el sector secundario, que representa a todo aquel empleo que se dedica a transformar la materia prima en productos elaborados.
Al menos el 43.3 por ciento de las personas trabajan en este sector, y de ellas, el 86 por ciento corresponde a los trabajos en fábrica, el 13 por ciento en la construcción y apenas el 1 por ciento en electricidad.
Así también, Saltillo figura como la tercera ciudad donde menor cantidad de población económicamente activa trabaja para el sector terciario, donde incluyen tanto servicios como comercios.
