Dona Austin camión de bomberos a Saltillo
Con acciones, intercambio de conocimientos y equipo, además de estrategias, se fortalece al cuerpo de Bomberos de Saltillo, dijo el alcalde José María Fraustro Siller.
En el marco de la celebración del Día de Austin en Saltillo, se anunció que la capital de Coahuila recibirá en donación un camión de bomberos de parte de su ciudad hermana.

Chema Fraustro recorrió, junto a la delegación de la capital texana, las instalaciones de la estación 5 de bomberos: “Saltillo y Austin comparten historias de éxito en temas como educación, seguridad, así como en el aprovechamiento en la industria automotriz eléctrica”, mencionó el Alcalde.
Fraustro Siller destacó el fortalecimiento y unión entre la ciudad de Austin, Texas y Saltillo, hermanamiento que data desde hace 55 años, “el cual se traduce en el continuo intercambios en diversos rubros, así como apoyos en beneficio de ambas comunidades”, mencionó.
La comitiva texana estuvo integrada por Rubén Becerra, juez del Condado Hays; el empresario Pat Siddons, a quien se le reconoció como Huésped Distinguido por su apoyo a la comunidad saltillense; Randy Moreno, bombero retirado y el también empresario Frank Fuentes.
Albero Neira Vielma, director de Protección Civil y Bomberos de Saltillo, recalcó que la estación 5 brinda servicio a 96 colonias del poniente de Saltillo y que atiende, además, incendios, fugas de gas, accidentes vehiculares en parte de la carretera a General Cepeda.
“La estación 5 cuenta con 25 elementos, quienes se encuentran altamente capacitados, y quienes brindan cerca de 600 servicios al mes a las y los saltillenses en 5turnos durante las 24 horas del día” aseguró Neira Vielma.
