Infartos, principal causa de muerte en Coahuila
El infarto agudo al miocardio es la principal causa de muerte entre la población coahuilense.
La Subsecretaría de Servicios de Salud, a cargo de Eliud Aguirre Vázquez, indicó que antes de la pandemia los infartos se presentaban mayormente entre los adultos mayores, sin embargo, con la llegada del síndrome post COVID-19 se ha detectado un aumento en muertes por infarto entre menor edad.
Comúnmente, los síntomas de padecimientos cardiacos inician con dolores opresivos en el pecho de lado izquierdo que puede ir hasta el brazo, la cara y provocar sudoración. También se puede presentar dolor en el cuello o mandíbula,
en el hombro, brazo y a la altura del corazón.
“Muchas veces la gente piensa que se trata de una obstrucción en el estómago o que se sienten muy llenos, pero en realidad es que son propensos a sufrir un infarto al corazón”, expone.
‘CÓDIGO INFARTO’
Erick Varela Cortés, subsecretario de Atención Médica de Urgencias (SAMU), informó personal médico del IMSS, ISSSTE e instituciones de salud privada están siendo capacitados en el Código Infarto, un programa que ha lanzado la Secretaría de Salud.
“Queremos fortalecer la red de atención, que podamos atender el infarto de una manera rápida y eficiente, ya sea con medicamentos o con el uso de la tecnología”, indicó.
Se ha detectado que cada 6 de 8 muertes por infarto se producen fuera del hospital y afecta mayormente a hombres.
Por ahora las ocho unidades de ambulancia del SAMU cuentan con electrocardiogramas de doce derivaciones, un laboratorio móvil de pruebas rápidas para infarto donde se evalúan cuatro enzimas, cuyos resultados pueden transmitirse a los médicos del IMSS e ISSSTE.
También cuentan con un trombolítico para destapar las arterias del corazón.
