Invitan UAdeC y AMENA a una carrera con causa
La Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, a través del Centro de Investigación y Jardín Etnobiológico (CIJE) en coordinación con la Asociación Mexicana de Epilepsia en Niños y Adultos A.C. Vivir en Púrpura (AMENA), invitan al público en general a participar en la Carrera Trail Run, que se llevará a cabo el 28 de noviembre de 2021 a las 7:30 de la mañana en el ejido Tomás Garrido Canabal del municipio de Viesca, Coahuila.
En rueda de prensa, el coordinador de la Unidad Saltillo de la UAdeC, Julio Saucedo Zul y la directora ejecutiva de AMENA, Norma Hernández, informaron que lo que se recaude será destinado a la asociación civil, esto con el objetivo de que la ayuda llegue a más personas, así mismo señalaron que también se fomenta a través de este evento el deporte, la integración de la sociedad y el cuidado al medio ambiente.
La carrera se divide en cuatro categorías: 30k con un costo de 450 pesos, 16k, 8k y senderismo cuya cuota es de 300 pesos, los interesados deberán de inscribirse en www.summits.com.mx, el cupo es limitado a 300 personas, ya que el ejido Tomás Garrido Canabal es un área natural protegida.
Se premiará a los primeros tres lugares de cada categoría con un trofeo y en la carrera 30k se otorgará un bono de 500 pesos al primer hombre y a la primera mujer que pasen el octavo kilómetro; por otro lado señalaron que se contará con servicio de paramédicos y habrá un área de acampado que se ubicará en el jardín del Centro de Investigación y Jardín Etnobiológico.
Norma Hernández, señaló que AMENA cuenta con tres programas: 1. Hablemos de Epilepsia, a través del cual ofrecen charlas gratuitas sobre este padecimiento, 2. Sonrisas en Púrpura, con el que se ayuda con medicamento y electroencefalogramas y 3. Deporte en Púrpura, en el que organizan carreras y las cuotas son donaciones para la asociación.
Por su parte, Julio Saucedo Zul invitó a la comunidad universitaria y al público en general a participar en la carrera y así sumarse a esta noble causa que es apoyar a todas las personas que padecen de epilepsia.
