Peso opera estable con ayuda del crudo; dólar se mantiene en 19.06 unidades

El peso mexicano opera estable contra el dólar en las primeras horas de este miércoles. El tipo de cambio se ubica en el nivel de 19.0645 unidades, con una variación de 00.15 centavos respecto a su cierre de ayer (19.0660 pesos por unidad), de acuerdo con los registros del Banco de México (Banxico).
La incertidumbre sobre la relación comercial entre China y Estados Unidos se mantiene entre los inversionistas, tras las amenazas que el presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, publicó el domingo en su cuenta de Twitter sobre aumentar los aranceles a productos chinos. La cotización registraba pérdidas para el peso en la apertura de la jornada.
Más tarde, la paridad retrocedió con la publicación de los inventarios de petróleo crudo de la Administración de Información de Energía de Estados Unidos. Una dismunución importante en los registros de crudo elevó 91% el precio de la mezcla West Texas Intermediate (WTI), que alcanzó un valor de 61.94 dólares por barril y benefició al peso.
Analistas de Banco Base explicaron en un reporte que la presión por las diferencias comerciales entre China y Estados Unidos podría mantenerse esta semana. En tanto, el peso alcanzó temprano su peor nivel en lo que va de la semana, con un tipo de cambio de 19.1350 unidades por dólar cerca de las 8:30 horas.
Mal momento para el riesgo La moneda mexicana caía en un entorno complicado para los activos de riesgo. El índice Fear & Greed, que mide el temor u optimismo de los inversionistas, registra 41 unidades. El índice, elaborado por CNN Bussines, expresa el temor u optimismo en las operaciones con un rango entre cero y 100, en el que cero significa temor extremo y 100, un gran optimismo.
Ángel Amancio, analista independiente y trader con experiencia en Madrid y Nueva York, afirmó que es un momento complicado para los activos de riesgo como el peso: "China y Estados Unidos son las principales economías del mundo. Un estancamiento en los diálogos es algo que nadie quiere. Ante las amenazas de Trump, lo mejor es vender nuestros pesos".
Añadió que el peso mexicano ha recibido presiones desde el petróleo, como consecuencia de una constante caída en los precios. Explicó que a esto se suma el miedo a que las diferencias entre China y Estados Unidos afecten de nuevo a la economía global, lo que desincentiva la compra de crudo.
