La administración federal sigue sin reaccionar con medidas anticíclicas que amortigüen el golpe económico derivado de la pandemia
Este año 2020 será el peor en materia económica del que se tenga registro en las últimas ocho décadas, al menos eso es lo que prevén las distintas instituciones del sector financiero.
Este miércoles, el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) presentó un nuevo corte de caja sobre la expectativa que tendrá la economía en el mundo, así como el caso específico de las naciones con el mayor Producto Interno Bruto (PIB).
México, ubicado aún en el top 15, será uno de los países más golpeados por los efectos económicos que tendrá la pandemia del COVID-19.
En el listado que el FMI presentó ayer, México se ubica como la quinta nación con la peor expectativa. En América, nuestro País será la nación más afectada por encima de Estados Unidos y Brasil, que han tenido una mayor cantidad de contagios, así como cuestionamientos por su actuar ante la pandemia.
Este escenario se suma a lo publicado el lunes de esta semana en una encuesta de Citibanamex con los principales grupos y analistas financieros del País, en donde el consenso ronda el -8.4 por ciento para el PIB de este 2020.
El crecimiento (o en su caso el decrecimiento) en la economía, no es sólo el único dato que levanta el pesimismo y la preocupación entre la iniciativa privada a nivel mundial.
En estas páginas ya hemos dado cuenta cómo ha pasado de generarse a destruirse empleos en los últimos meses, tendencia que se prevé continúe en junio. Además, la inversión fija bruta, la producción manufacturera, entre otros indicadores, han marcado mínimos en algunos casos desde 2009.
En medio de este escenario, y más allá de filias y fobias políticas, sigue viéndose una fría reacción de las autoridades federales para buscar una respuesta que ablande en algo el golpe.
Ayer, al pedirle al presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador una reacción por la expectativa publicada por el FMI, recurrió a su discurso ya conocido.
“Yo estoy muy optimista a partir de datos objetivos, datos reales, datos duros. Sostengo que nos vamos a recuperar pronto”, dijo durante su conferencia mañanera.

Los programas y apoyos clientelares resultaron cortos para la magnitud de esta crisis y, ante la mayor crisis financiera y sanitaria, se sigue esperando una respuesta de dimensiones similares.
