Postularán a Saltillo para Congreso Nacional de Turismo de Reuniones

El director de la Oficina de Convenciones y Visitantes (OCV), Raúl Rodarte Leos, indicó que postularán a Saltillo para la sede del Congreso Nacional de Turismo de Reuniones del próximo año.
Agregó que en agosto de este año el evento se realizará en Los Cabos, sin embargo, contemplan postular a Saltillo para que sea la sede del evento del siguiente año, aunque primero se deberá ver si la ciudad cumple con los requisitos, lineamientos, capacidades e infraestructura.
Rodarte Leos indicó que a este tipo de eventos acuden entre 400 a 600 personas, sin embargo, añadió que son la crema y nata de la industria de reuniones, son todos los organizadores de eventos, congresos, convenciones y ferias.
En años anteriores este evento se realizó en Zacatecas, Guadalajara, Valle de Bravo y Mérida, en el caso de Saltillo es la primera vez que se postula por la sede, sin embargo, hace 10 ó 15 años cuando inició este congreso nacional, se postularon Monclova y Torreón.
“Ahorita es un evento que ha crecido más porque lo integran más de 13 asociaciones y es el Consejo Mexicano de la industria de Reuniones, entonces estamos trabajando con ellos para levantar la mano, las sedes que se postulan hay una visita de inspección, un escauteo, un acercamiento con autoridades y ven toda la proveeduría”, dijo.
Una vez que realizan esa evaluación, quedan como finalistas de 3 a 5 sedes y cuando se realiza el congreso, se lleva a cabo la votación para seleccionar a la ciudad que será la sede del siguiente año; finalmente comentó que para este evento, se pide que se cuente con un recinto que tenga la capacidad para recibir a los visitantes, toda vez que debe contarse con 5 ó 6 salones simultáneos para diferentes actividades.
