Banda de extorsionadores incendia tejabanes, en Ramos Arizpe

Un grupo de vándalos, identificados como los “pepenadores”, que se dedican a extorsionar a sus colegas, presuntamente prendieron fuego a siete tejabanes porque no les pagaron el derecho de piso.
El incidente ocurrió la tarde de este jueves en la colonia Urbi Villa, y las autoridades municipales no lograron detener a los responsables. A pesar de estar identificados, los vándalos afectaron un total de siete tejabanes, cuyos propietarios tuvieron que buscar albergues o ayuda de sus familiares.
Según información extraoficial, esta banda se dedica a la recolección de cartón, fierro, cobre, aluminio y plástico al poniente de Ramos Arizpe. Desde 2023, formaron una supuesta cooperativa en la que cada pepenador debía aportar 50 pesos semanales en caso de que alguien sufriera un accidente o infección, debido a los riesgos a los que están expuestos en los basureros.

Como el grupo estaba integrado por 40 personas, el liderazgo se salió de control y comenzaron a exigir cuotas de 300 pesos cada 15 días. Muchos no podían completar el monto y comenzaron a recibir amenazas de ser desalojados o de que sus viviendas serían quemadas.
Nadie se intimidó y durante la tarde de este jueves, los extorsionadores causaron daños. Bomberos y Protección Civil de Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, controlaron el fuego en un lapso de 40 minutos. Se solicitó al personal de servicios periciales iniciar una investigación de campo para determinar qué utilizaron los responsables para prender fuego a los domicilios construidos de madera y cartón.
