Será elección de 2021 parteaguas para mujeres: Verónica Martínez
‘Estados deben de estar listos para una gobernadora’, dijo la senadora
La elección del 6 de junio próximo será el parteaguas, el antes y el después, de las mujeres compitiendo por las gubernaturas de sus estados, consideró la Senadora Verónica Martínez.
En este sentido, la legisladora coahuilense opinó que todas las entidades del País, incluyendo Coahuila, deben de estar listas para ser dirigidas por una mujer.
El primer domingo de junio, en México, todas las entidades elegirán diversos cargos de elección popular, y 15 de ellas renovarán sus gubernaturas, con la obligación de los partidos políticos de postular, en al menos siete estados, a candidatas.
“Yo creo que todos los estados tienen que estar listos (a ser dirigidos por mujeres), y así tiene que ser, precisamente porque este año veremos en las boletas, por primera vez en la historia, en el 50 por ciento de las candidaturas a mujeres participando para las gubernaturas”, señaló.
Consideró que por eso, las elecciones de este año marcarán el rumbo hacia los subsiguientes procesos electorales, en el tema de la nominación femenina para gobernadoras.
Sobre su situación particular en Coahuila, en donde se le considera como una de las priistas con mejor perfil para encabezar una nominación al máximo cargo político en la entidad, dijo que hay que estar en el presente y no estar tanto pensando en el futuro.
“Para la gubernatura todavía falta tiempo, faltan dos años, al final de cuentas el partido definirá, casi siempre lo hacen por encuesta, lo que tenemos que hacer es que cada uno de nosotros trabajemos en dar buenos resultados, en recuperar la confianza de la gente, que es algo bien importante”, afirmó.
