Conversando | Ciberseguridad, ¿qué tanto debería preocuparnos?

Sebastián Lara, dijo que la ciberseguridad es el andamiaje particular que debemos tener las personas desde el momento en el que proporcionamos nuestros datos personales o bancarios a páginas de internet
Debido al traslado que ha tenido que hacer la sociedad de lo físico a lo virtual, en el programa CONVERSANDO de este miércoles, el periodista Carlos Arredondo sostuvo una charla con Sebastián Lara de Speyside Group, para hablar sobre el tema de la CiberSeguridad.
El especialista empezó definiendo, que el tema de la ciberseguridad a nivel general, es la protección de todo lo que sea virtual y digital en el mundo de las nuevas tecnologías.
Como algunos de los ejemplos que existen de seguridad, es el andamiaje particular que debemos tener las personas desde el momento en el que proporcionamos nuestros datos personales o bancarios a páginas de internet, pues desde la idea de la inseguridad cibernética, los ataques pueden ser desde el robo a una persona, hasta el robo a una gran empresa.
También, detalló que uno de los aspectos que tienen que tomar en cuenta las personas, son las políticas de privacidad, pues las empresas se quedan a cargo de tus datos, por ejemplo, a las que le realizas compras o pagos constantes por internet.
Trajo a flote, el dato que dio recientemente el ITESM, sobre que durante la pandemia han recibido dos millones de ataques cibernéticos, aunque en términos jurídicos no tiene un amplio marco para defenderse.
En ese sentido, manifestó que México es uno de los países que tienen un amplio rezago en la legislación sobre el tema de ciberseguridad, e incluso recordó que en el nuevo Tratado de Comercio, Estados Unidos-México-Canadá, existe un capítulo que regula esto, aunque el tema en el país no es concreto pese a que los otros países involucrados tienen interés de que se realice.
“Esto tiene que ver con la economía, porque un ataque cibernético puede ser devastador para la economía. Un ataque cibernético al Gobierno puede ser devastador en el país”, explicó Sebastián.
Detalló, que hasta hoy sólo el legislador Miguel Ángel Mancera, es el único que ha puesto sobre el parlamento, los temas para tipificar delitos que tienen origen en lo cibernético, aunque faltan otras cosas como unirse a los acuerdos de Budapest que incluye un marco internacional sobre el tema.
Recordó, que hay un buen número de instituciones públicas y empresas que han recibido ciberataques, y estas mismas están obligadas a irse desarrollando constantemente en la materia para generar blindajes en favor de las personas, aunque otros países sí cuentan con recursos para ello.
“Se deben crear normas y eso es modificar infraestructura, porque la ciberseguridad siempre se está actualizando. La tecnología en sí tiene que ir mejorando constantemente porque el criminal está siempre actualizándose también como otro ejército, o el narcotráfico, o lo que sea. Es muy importante que haya una inversión constante en la ciberseguridad de un país y que los funcionarios se dediquen también a proteger a las empresas”, expresó.
En ese sentido, informó que las áreas apetitosas para la cibercriminalidad son las áreas bancarias, donde los criminales de la tecnología pueden tener acceso a millones de pesos con el robo de datos, y por eso es que incluso, hay empresas bancarias que están invirtiendo hasta el 30 por ciento en el tema debido a que reciben constantes ataques.
“Si no se mueve hacia adelante el tema de la ciberseguridad, vamos a estar muy muy muy vulnerables. Podemos buscar que nuestros legisladores se tomen esto enserio. Todas las personas podemos ver que nos llegan mensajes extraños a nuestros equipos; pues todo eso es ‘Fishing’. En México hay extraordinarios recursos humanos para combatir en el tema de ciberseguridad, lo que falta son los recursos económicos”, expresó.
