Aumentan avistamientos de osos en Coahuila
En el transcurso del año, la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente ha reportado 77 avistamientos de osos en zonas urbanas y rurales, la captura de 29 ejemplares y 16 muertos por atropellamiento, señaló Jorge Guerrero Saucedo, director de Vida Silvestre.
Durante los últimos años, es más frecuente que las personas detecten la presencia de estos animales dentro de las mismas colonias y en los ejidos. Asimismo, la sequía y la falta de alimento que imperan este año, obligan a los osos a buscar comida fuera de su hábitat natural.
Esta semana, personal de la SEMAC y del Museo del Desierto de Saltillo rescataron a 8 animales. El martes atraparon a una osa y tres oseznos en la colonia Mirasierra; el jueves implementaron un operativo para agarrar a otra osa y sus tres crías que deambulaban por el sector Monte Sinaí. Los primeros fueron liberados este viernes en la serranía, en un lugar seguro.

Los osos fueron resguardados en instalaciones de la SEMAC, por el periférico Luis Echeverría Alvarez y calzada Antonio Narro.
En ambos casos, el médico veterinario examinó a los plantígrados, que se encontraron en buenas condiciones, sin señales de lesiones o de enfermedad.
Guerrero Salcedo manifestó que en todos los casos se busca reintegrarlos de inmediato a su hábitat natural. Las osas tienen entre 4 y 5 años de edad y las crías de 8 a 9 meses.
Los animales que permanecen en resguardo son alimentados con frutas, básicamente manzana, y capulín, una cereza rojiza.
