‘Coahuila tiene el segundo lugar en México con mayor índice de desempleo’: Inegi
De acuerdo con la última Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), hasta el mes de abril de este año Coahuila ocupa el segundo lugar a nivel nacional con mayor índice de desempleo.
Los datos reportados señalan que la entidad registró 4.2 por ciento de personas desempleadas, sobre el total de su Población Económicamente Activa (PEA) que está en edad de trabajar.
Con esta tasa, la entidad se ubica solo detrás de Tabasco, que tiene un índice de desempleo del 5.1 por ciento; y comparte la segunda posición con Ciudad de México y el Estado de México.
El 4.2 por ciento reportado en Coahuila representa, aproximadamente, 62 mil 580 personas desempleadas en todo el estado.
Los datos del Inegi hablan de que en Coahuila existe una PEA de un millón 490 mil personas, que ya se encuentran en un rango de edad considerado como laboral y están buscando oportunidades de empleo.

De ese total, al menos un millón y 427 mil personas se encuentran trabajando, aunque no todos en el sector formal, donde se respetan todos sus derechos laborales.
Según el Inegi, las entidades con menor índice de desempleo en todo el país son Jalisco, Guerrero y Michoacán, con índices de 1.6 por ciento de desempleo, en las primeras dos, y 1.7 por ciento en la última.
A finales de mayo, VANGUARDIA publicó que los índices de rotación en la Región Sureste de Coahuila van en aumento, y que persiste una escasez de personal para cubrir la demanda de las empresas.
Antonio Serrano, director del Instituto de Estudios Empresariales Coahuila Sureste (IEECS), consideró que las rotaciones oscilan entre un 15 y 17 por ciento en diferentes sectores; y que la región vive un efecto de rebote, debido a que durante la pandemia se detuvieron actividades y ahora no hay suficiente fuerza laboral.
