En Saltillo, el semillero de talentos matemáticos está en la Benito Juárez
Por su historial académico, la enseñanza y los programas de desarrollo integral que se implementan, la escuela primaria federal Benito Juárez de Saltillo se ha convertido en un semillero de talentos ya que alumnos egresados han destacado en olimpiadas del conocimiento a nivel nacional y destrezas motoras.
Pero nada ha sido fácil, sino un reto que representa la motivación de los docentes y alumnos con la misión de aumentar los índices de aprendizaje y rendimiento escolar; esto último se ve reflejado en los resultados obtenidos hasta ahora, dijo la directora Norma Teresa Rivera Rodríguez.

“Lo que hacemos en esta escuela es formar a los niños de manera integral, darles los valores y desafíos para que puedan enfrentarse al mundo y esto tratamos de inculcarlo en niños que cursan desde el primer grado hasta los de sexto para que tengan logros significativos y esto por ende nos da resultados en todos los aspectos y concursos en los que ellos participan”, comentó la directora.
TODO ES UN TRABAJO CONSTANTE
Sin embargo, dijo, también es cierto que el proyecto educativo de la escuela primaria Benito Juárez conocido como ‘Mejora escolar’ trabaja en materias como matemáticas.
“Este es un proyecto que tenemos como escuela y nos está apoyando muchísimo para cuando se abra algún concurso y los niños puedan participar”, expuso.
Dos de los ejemplos de éxito son los de Andrés Emiliano de la Garza Rosales y Fernando Daniel Saucedo Hernández quienes concursaron en una olimpiada del conocimiento a nivel nacional en 2017 y 2018 respectivamente, y fueron reconocidos con el primer lugar.
“Ellos se graduaron de primaria y en secundaria continuaron participando, pero en la olimpiada de matemáticas”, señaló.
Para este año ya se ha publicado la convocatoria de la 37° Olimpiada Mexicana de Matemáticas etapa estatal de la Sociedad Matemática Mexicana a través de la Facultad de Ciencias Físico Matemáticas de la Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila cuya primera etapa de inscripción cierra el próximo 25 de febrero.
De acuerdo con la directora, hasta el momento no hay alumnos inscritos pues la convocatoria acaba de ser publicada, sin embargo, no duda en que habrá alumnos que estén interesados en participar.
“Nosotros motivamos a los niños para que se inscriban, nunca les imponemos ninguna actividad, dejamos que ellos decidan por sí mismos”, comentó la directora.
