Adultos mayores vacunados en Arteaga perderían inmunidad si no reciben segunda dosis
Recibieron la vacuna desde el pasado 17 de febrero
Los adultos mayores que fueron vacunados en Arteaga en el mes de febrero y pierdan inmunidad contra el Covid-19 al sobrepasar casi 70 días sin recibir la segunda dosis del biológico, luego de recibir la primera aplicación de la vacuna, así lo dio a conocer Roberto Bernal Gómez, secretario de Salud de Coahuila.
El funcionario detalló que luego de que estos adultos mayores de 60 años recibieron la vacuna desde el pasado 17 de febrero, es decir, hace poco más de nueve semanas, pese a que la recomendación de la farmacéutica Pfizer es que la segunda dos y se reciba durante las primeras ocho semanas perderían el efecto de inmunización en un 25%.
Indicó que con la vacuna de Pfizer, se logra una inmunidad del 85% que sube al 95% con la segunda.
“Es probable que no se logre la inmunidad, es probable, pero no sabemos. El proceso no depende de nosotros, nosotros estamos puesto para aplicarlo, pero si no tenemos las vacunas qué podemos hacer”, dijo.
Además expuso que el procedimiento se encuentra bajo estricta coordinación y dependencia de la Secretaría de Bienestar, por lo que desconocen una fecha precisa en la que pudieran arriba la segunda dosis.
Finalmente, dijo que ya hay adultos mayores que han manifestado la enfermedad después de la vacunación porque ya traían la enfermedad antes de que se les aplicará el biológico.
