Anuncian cierre de la Gran Carrera Panamericana en Saltillo
“Después del intenso recorrido de más de 3 mil kilómetros que los pilotos realizarán por ocho estados de la república mexicana, la ruta culminará en nuestra capital, Saltillo”, explicó Azucena Ramos, secretaria de Turismo y Desarrollo de Pueblos Mágicos del estado.
Señaló que el año pasado la Carrera Panamericana cerró en Torreón, con buen recibimiento por parte de la sociedad en la Comarca Lagunera y marcó el inicio de la actividad turística en la entidad luego de la suspensión obligatoria de actividades como parte de las restricciones sanitarias para hacer frente a la pandemia de Covid-19.
“Hoy estamos listos para recibirlos en la región Sureste de Coahuila, donde contamos con una gran infraestructura hotelera, recintos para congresos y convenciones, más de 20 museos, sitios de interés y centros culturales; tenemos importantes parques industriales con actividad terrestre y aérea, variada gastronomía regional, nacional e internacional, contamos con vinos de la más alta calidad reconocidos a nivel mundial”, destacó Azucena Ramos.
La Carrera Panamericana arranca el 15 de octubre en Oaxaca rumbo a Veracruz; al siguiente día continúa a la Ciudad de México y Morelia, para luego avanzar a Aguascalientes, después Durango y finalmente llegará a Coahuila, donde los competidores de todo el mundo serán recibidos en Parras.
Por su parte, Karen León Grossmann, directora general de la Carrera Panamericana, resaltó que gracias a la reactivación económica, esta competencia generará una derrama económica en cada uno de los estados, y se respetará los protocolos sanitarios.
Además señaló que el evento resaltará la importancia de las mujeres en el turismo y el deporte motorizado, con diferentes invitadas a lo largo de la ruta.
“Tendremos la campaña de un árbol por cada kilómetro recorrido, queremos regenerar los suelos y reforestación, compensando así la huella de carbono y disminuyendo el impacto hacia el cambio climático; la segunda acción, por segundo año consecutivo en Coahuila, estaremos haciendo entrega de sillas de ruedas a través de Fundación Telmex-Telcel”, apuntó Karen León.
El alcalde de Saltillo, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, dio la bienvenida y destacó que la capital coahuilense, junto con los municipios de la Región Sureste, es una de las zonas automotrices más importantes en el país.
“Todos los pilotos llegarán al estado más seguro del norte de México y a una de las cinco ciudades más seguras del país”, destacó el edil saltillense.
La ruta recorrerá más de 3 mil 610 kilómetros, con 625 kilómetros de etapas de velocidad, a través de paisajes de los diversos ecosistemas a lo largo y ancho del país.
