‘Prevenibles los accidentes en menores de edad’: Cruz Roja Saltillo
ARTEAGA, COAH.- La Cruz Roja Saltillo alertó a los padres de familia para evitar accidentes en casa que puedan involucrar la integridad de los niños y niñas; la mayoría son prevenibles.
Lo anterior, tras el lamentable fallecimiento del pequeño José Antonio, de 11 años de edad, luego de que le cayera una barda encima cuando la pareja de su mamá la escaló para arreglar el tinaco y ésta se derrumbara.
De acuerdo con el coordinador de Socorro y Servicio de Ambulancias de la Cruz Roja, Juan Carlos Rocha, “primero que nada es necesario ser conscientes de todas las situaciones de riesgo que existen en las casas, y adoptar las medidas de seguridad adecuadas en las actividades que realicemos.
“Mientras más conscientes seamos de los riesgos en los que pueden estar envueltos nuestros hijos, nos será más fácil prevenirlos, pero eso se da a través de la observación y de la convivencia con ellos”, expresó Rocha.
“Por eso es importantísimo adoptar una actitud ‘proactiva’, de observación constante, que nos permita estar alerta ante posibles situaciones de peligro, y reaccionar de forma correcta en caso de que nos encontremos ante una situación de riesgo, para que no desemboque en un accidente”, recomendó.
Juan Carlos Rocha, invitó a la población en general adoptar medidas de seguridad y preventivas para que no se descuide la atención de los menores en casa y sufran accidentes en la cocina o el baño, siendo los lugares más propicios para accidentes en casa.
Señaló que son las caídas, los golpes contra objetos, los cortes, las quemaduras, las intoxicaciones y la asfixia las principales lesiones que tienen lugar en el hogar, por lo que se requiere de una verdadera cultura de prevención en los hogares.
Aunque admitió que en general, la mayoría de los accidentes que suceden en el entorno doméstico no son muy graves, cuando ocurren se debe actuar con orden y serenidad, para que la atención al herido sea lo más correcta.
