Se agrava crisis migratoria: endurece EU deportaciones

ACUÑA.- La crisis migratoria en esta frontera entre Coahuila y Estados Unidos se agravó, mientras las autoridades norteamericanas endurecieron controles para deportar a todo aquel que cruce de manera ilegal, incluso fueron señaladas por cortar una cuerda que utilizaban los migrantes para poder acceder a suelo americano, por lo cual al menos dos personas habrían sido arrastradas por el río.
En visita a la ciudad Del Rio, Alejandro Mayorkas, secretario de Seguridad Nacional de EU, advirtió que las personas que realicen cruces ilegales serán devueltas a su país.
“Si viene ilegalmente, será devuelto. Su viaje no tendrá éxito y pondrá en peligro su vida y la de su familia”, expresó Mayorkas, en una rueda de prensa en el Puente Internacional que conecta a Acuña y Del Rio.
Mientras tanto, Greg Abbott, gobernador de Texas, envió una carta a Joe Biden, presidente de Estados Unidos, donde solicitó que se declarara estado de emergencia ante la crisis migratoria.
“Solicito una declaración de estado de emergencia para el Estado de Texas como resultado de la actual crisis fronteriza que continúa escalando como lo demuestra la terrible situación en el condado de Val Verde”, sostuvo.
ARRASTRA RÍO A MIGRANTES; AGENTES CORTAN CUERDA, ACUSAN
Pese al endurecimiento en los controles norteamericanos, los migrantes se mantuvieron en el campamento improvisado en el parque Braulio Fernández de Acuña, debajo del puente fronterizo.
Ayer, volvieron a cruzar desde este punto, unos 800 metros aguas debajo de donde inicialmente lo hacían por la “Cortina”.
La comida es el principal objetivo de arriesgarse cruzar el rio Bravo a territorio mexicano, por lo que han colocado una soga que cruza de lado a lado.
Este lunes se pudo observar cómo hombres, mujeres y niños cruzaron cargando víveres de Acuña.
Sin embargo, ya en la noche migrantes acusaron a agentes norteamericanos de haber cortado una cuerda que utilizaban para poder cruzar entre Del Rio y Acuña a través del afluente del río Bravo.
De acuerdo con versiones en el lugar, al menos dos personas habrían sido arrastradas por el río. Algunos migrantes señalaron que una mujer y su hija estaban desaparecidas, mientras que otros afirmaron que eran tres adultos y una menor.
Pese a los señalamientos no hubo confirmación oficial.
REBASA TODOS LOS LÍMITES
Para el investigador del Colegio de la Frontera Norte, José Luis Uribe, el fenómeno migratorio que vive esta frontera, rebasa los límites.
“Se sale de los cánones de los diferentes flujos migratorios que había habido, como ocurrió con la Caravana en 2019, pero nunca se pensó en una magnitud de esta naturaleza porque me parece que rebasa todos los límites de lo que habíamos vivido en esta región”, subrayó.
