Taxistas protestan en Torreón contra UBER

Torreón, Coahuila. – Cientos de taxistas protestaron hoy en la Plaza Mayor contra Uber que ofrece servicio de transporte por aplicación y exigen al municipio prohíba la operación de esta empresa en la ciudad de Torreón.
Al filo de las 10 de la mañana poco a poco los taxistas fueron llegando a la explanada de la presidencia municipal y al grito de ¡fuera Uber!, pedían hablar con el alcalde Jorge Zermeño Infante y demandar se aplique la ley en este caso.
El representante del Grupo Empresarial del Transporte en Torreón, Francisco Guardado, informó que en reiteradas ocasiones han acudido al municipio y al gobierno estatal a pedir se frene la operación irregular de esta compañía.
Antes de ser recibidos, los manifestantes amagaban con tomar medidas más drásticas como cerrar calles, tomar edificios públicos o hasta quemar unidades, según manifestaron.
El representante del movimiento dijo que la competencia desleal afecta sus ingresos cuando ellos cuentan con vehículos último modelo y aire acondicionado.

Mencionó que la operación de Uber es sinónimo de inseguridad y aludió que en el Estado de México se registró un conato de secuestro, una muerte en San Luis Potosí y aquí en Torreón, hace 15 días un chofer de esta empresa se robó un equipo de audio y fue detenido.
Cuando se identifica a un chofer de Uber cometiendo algún ilícito, se comunica a la empresa, pero esta no proporciona ninguna información, por ello es una inseguridad total que la gente acuda a este tipo de servicio.
Definitivamente los tienen que quitar y que empiecen a circular cuando se registren junto con los conductores.
