Torreón registra mil contagios por COVID-19 más que Saltillo en noviembre

El virus en los dos municipios más importantes y poblados de la entidad ha tenido un comportamiento diferente
El mes de noviembre, el municipio de Torreón terminó con 2 mil 390 casos de contagio por Covid-19, según la estadística de la secretaría de Salud del gobierno federal, mil 131 casos menos que Saltillo.
El virus en los dos municipios más importantes y poblados de la entidad ha tenido un comportamiento diferente: Torreón suma 10 mil 601 casos y Saltillo 8 mil 706 hasta el último día de noviembre. Aunque las cifras varían si la fuente es el gobierno de Coahuila: 10 mil 548 contagios en Torreón hasta el 2 de diciembre y 8 mil 705 en Saltillo.
Pero los picos en cada municipio han variado. En Torreón se tuvo un disparo a partir de junio y julio, cuando se registraron mil 639 y mil 678 casos, respectivamente, según las estadísticas de la Dirección General de Epidemiología. En agosto comenzaron a bajar los casos y en septiembre llegó a solo 835 contagios en el mes. Sin embargo, de septiembre a agosto aumentó 173 por ciento, pues se llegó a los 2 mil 281 casos y para noviembre se alcanzaron 2 mil 390, la cifra más alta en toda la pandemia.
Por su parte, en Saltillo el primer pico llegó hasta agosto, cuando se documentaron 2 mil 187 casos (924 casos menos que Torreón ese mes). En septiembre disminuyó a mil 232, para octubre volvió a subir a 2 mil 93, es decir, 70% más que el mes anterior. Pero nuevamente para noviembre bajó a mil 259 casos.
