Admite UBS impacto de 17 mmdd por comprar Credit Suisse
Contempla ajustes de valor a activos y pasivos, así como costos por litigios diversos
Mientras se prepara para completar el rescate de su rival suizo, UBS Group dijo este miércoles que espera un impacto financiero de unos 17 mil millones de dólares por la adquisición de Credit Suisse Group.
UBS destacó que estima un impacto negativo de 13 mil millones por los ajustes del valor razonable de los activos y pasivos del grupo combinado. También ve 4 mil millones en posibles litigios y costes regulatorios derivados de las salidas.

Sin embargo, la entidad también estimó que registraría una ganancia única derivada del llamado “fondo de comercio negativo” de 34 mil 800 mil al comprar Credit Suisse por una fracción de su valor contable.
El colchón financiero ayudará a absorber posibles pérdidas y podría suponer un impulso para el beneficio del segundo trimestre del prestamista si UBS cierra la transacción el mes que viene, tal y como está previsto.
UBS dijo que las estimaciones eran preliminares y que las cifras podrían cambiar más adelante. El banco también destacó que podría registrar provisiones de reestructuración en el futuro, pero no ofreció cifras.
UBS acordó en marzo comprar Credit Suisse por 3 mil millones de francos suizos (3 mil 400 millones de dólares) en acciones y asumir hasta 5 mil millones de francos en pérdidas que se derivarían de la liquidación de parte del negocio, en una fusión rápida urdida por las autoridades suizas durante un fin de semana en medio de una agitación bancaria mundial.
La operación, el primer rescate de un banco desde la crisis financiera de 2008, creará una gestora de patrimonios con más de 5 billones de dólares en activos invertidos y más de 120 mil empleados en todo el mundo.
El Estado suizo respalda la operación con hasta 250 mil millones de francos suizos en fondos públicos. El Gobierno suizo ofrece una garantía de hasta 9 mil millones de francos para posibles pérdidas adicionales en una parte claramente definida de la cartera de Credit Suisse.
Tras el cierre legal de la transacción, UBS Group AG planea gestionar dos empresas matrices separadas: UBS AG y Credit Suisse AG, dijo UBS la semana pasada. El proceso de integración podría durar entre tres a cuatro años.
