Por estrategia nearshoring, se han identificado 16 mil mdd en inversiones para México

La estrategia para que empresas ubiquen sus producciones en otros países ha funcionado en México, tanto que 50 empresas tienen en la mira a México
Entre los meses de enero a septiembre se lograron identificar 16 mil millones de dólares en inversiones potenciales por medio de la estrategia nearshoring; de los cuales 12 mil 700 millones de dólares son proporcionados por nuevos participantes.
El nearshoring es una estrategia de externalización, donde una empresa transfiere parte de su producción a terceros, aunque se ubiquen en otros países, con la condición que estén localizados en destinos cercanos y con zonas horarias semejantes.
Dos son las principales ventajas del nearshoring: la primera, que atrae la inversión y genera empleos en la construcción, además de crear un sistema económico con mayor perspectiva; la segunda, es que una vez construidas las naves industriales, generaría entonces empleos directos.
De acuerdo con las importaciones en México en 2019, basado en un estudio realizado por Statista, un poco más del 45% de los proveedores provenía de Estados Unidos y casi el 30% de China, Japón, Alemania y Corea del Sur.

La primera edición del Nearshoring Tracker en México de Credit Suisse, indica que según el equipo de Hardware y Tecnologías de la Información de la institución ha habido fabricantes de productos electrónicos que se trasladan de Asia a Estados Unidos y México.
De acuerdo con Jorge Charles, presidente del Clúster Automotriz de Chihuahua, consultado por el medio de comunicación Reforma, “uno de los puntos en lo que se trabaja en México para atraer estas inversiones es voltear a ver la proveeduría local para que las empresas que lleguen se puedan surtir”.
“Están buscando proveeduría local. Entonces, estamos trabajando en el nearshoring local, es decir, no traer empresas de fuera nada más”, explicó Jorge Charles.
Mientras que para Israel Morales, director del Comité de Acuerdos y Tratados Comerciales de Index nacional, refirió que México puede convertirse en proveedor de insumos y no sólo en ensamblador.
En agosto de este año, el director del Instituto de Estudios Empresariales Coahuila Sureste (IEEcs), Antonio Serrano Camarena, señaló para VANGUARDIA que hay una gran cantidad de empresas chinas y americanas que se están relocalizando en México, sobretodo en los estados fronterizos para aprovechar el TMEC y sobretodo la cercanía.

50 EMPRESAS PONEN LA MIRA EN MÉXICO POR NEARSHORING
Al menos 50 empresas de Estados Unidos, Suecia, Reino Unido, España, China y Suiza se encuentran interesadas en invertir en la construcción de alguna fábrica. nuevas operaciones y una línea de producción en la Ciudad de México, así como otros estados del país, debido a las estrategias nearshoring.
“Han venido inversionistas de Tucson, Phoenix, Seattle, y acabamos de recibir empresas de Suecia, que están interesadas en invertir en México”, dice Fadlala Akabani Hneide, secretario de Desarrollo Económico de la CDMX en entrevista para Forbes.
La capital del país se está convirtiendo en un mercado para el nearshoring, ya que es un puente natural entre Centroamérica y Sudamérica con el mercado de Estados Unidos y Canadá, asegura el funcionario.
Así como también se han recibido inversionistas chinos interesados en traer sus operaciones de Asia a México con el fin de aprovechar esta estrategia de externalización.
“50 empresas (son las) que hemos recibido que han decidido (invertir) en México, pero no sabemos si es Guadalajara, Monterrey o la Ciudad de México”, acotó el secretario de Desarrollo Económico.
