La semana del cine: Películas coahuilenses, homenajes y muertes
El lunes pasado arrancaron con el pizarrazo en la capital del estado de Coahuila las grabaciones del largometraje “El desaire”, ópera prima del cineasta Gabriel Ramos, coproducido por la casa editora donde trabajamos, Vanguardia.
Definida por su propio director como una adaptación del corrido popular de Rosita Alvírez pero ubicada en los tiempos actuales para destacar uno de los crímenes tristemente a la alza en nuestro país como lo son los feminicidios, cuenta con la actuación protagónica de la actriz Vico Escorcia (nominada al Ariel por ”Eddie Reynolds y los Ángeles de Acero” y “Los crímenes del Mar del Norte”) y desde este espacio aplaudimos esta iniciativa en coproducción de instituciones culturales y educativas así como municipios tanto de Saltillo como de la vecina ciudad de Ramos Arizpe en darle continuidad a los primeros esfuerzos que hicimos otros colectivos de cineastas saltillenses desde finales del siglo XX a los inicios del XXI cuando oficializamos la primera Asociación de Cineastas Coahuilenses, CINCO, en el año 2007.
El mismo lunes 9, pero por la noche, fue en el Palacio de las Bellas Artes de la Ciudad de México donde se realizó, aunque tardío, un más que merecido homenaje para uno de los más importantes guionistas del cine mexicano, Xavier Robles, fallecido el pasado 24 de junio del 2022 a los 73 años de edad y quien colaboró a su vez con algunos de los más reconocidos cineastas mexicanos con guiones temerarios para su momento pero necesarios para la realidad que se vivía pero de la que no se hablaba como sucedió con Felipe Cazals (“Las poquianchis”; “Bajo la metralla”) y Jorge Fons, para quien en colaboración con su compañera de vida, Guadalupe Ortega, escribió el argumento y el guión cinematográfico del clásico “Rojo Amanecer”, por los que ganaron dos Arieles a lo mejor del cine del año 1988.
Hablando de colectivos de cineastas saltillenses de años anteriores, en la capital del estado de Coahuila tuvimos el privilegio de conocer al maestro Robles y a Guadalupe Ortega en la proyección del largometraje documental que él además de escribir dirigió bajo el título de “Ayotzinapa: crónica de un crimen de estado” (2014) como parte de la segunda edición del Foro Internacional de Derechos Humanos que organizó la promotora cinematográfica saltillense Diana González teniendo como sede una sala VIP de Cinépolis Sendero. Para esto, Robles ya también había sido prolífico colaborador del cineasta coahuilense Mario Hernández en clásicos como “Zapata en Chinameca” (1990) y “Cementerio de Papel” (2008), donde también participó la activista saltillense Rosario Ibarra de Piedra, entre otras.
Con todo, la semana concluyó con tres sensibles fallecimientos del cine internacional el sábado 14: el primero a los 91 años de edad el de la actriz norteamericana nominada en tres ocasiones al Oscar, Piper Laurie por su trabajo en clásicos como “El audaz” (Robert Rossen, 1961); “Carrie : Extraño presentimiento” (Brian De Palma, 1976) y “Te amaré en silencio” (Randa Haines, 1986), y los otros dos de una forma atroz al ser asesinados a cuchilladas el cineasta iraní Dariush Mehrjui, de 83 años de edad, junto a su esposa, la guionista Vahideh Mohammadifar, luego de ser amenazados en redes sociales.
Mehrjui es recordado como uno de los pioneros del movimiento de la nueva ola del cine iraní de los años 70 y clásicos como “La vaca”, su segundo largometraje por el que ganó el Premio de la Crítica del Festival de Cine de Venecia de 1971, o “Sara”, por el cual ganó la Concha de Oro del Festival de Cine de San Sebastián de 1993 en empate con uno de otro de los máximos representantes de la generación del nuevo cine mexicano de los 70, Arturo Ripstein, quien compitió con “Principio y Fin”.
