Se advierte que, debido al aniversario de la tragedia en Uvalde, el próximo 24 de mayo, se espera que haya más personas queriendo aprovechar esta fecha para alarmar en las escuelas y provocar pánico
De acuerdo con un comunicado, escuelas de Eagle Pass, Uvalde y Del Rio, Texas se encuentran investigando posibles amenazas de tiroteo que se habrían vertido en redes sociales.
El texto informa sobre una posible amenaza en diferentes escuelas locales, en Eagle Pass y en Uvalde, Texas, mismas que han sido difundidas a través de mensajes de texto y publicaciones en redes sociales.

“La comunidad local encargada de hacer cumplir la ley ha estado trabajando para investigar el origen de estas amenazas y asegurarse de que los estudiantes estén seguros”, dice el comunicado.

Se advierte que, debido al aniversario de la tragedia en Uvalde, el próximo 24 de mayo, se espera que haya más personas queriendo aprovechar esta fecha para alarmar en las escuelas y provocar pánico.
El texto enfatiza que no se ignorará ninguna amenaza y que se tomarán medidas legales contra los autores de estos mensajes.
Como protocolo de seguridad, se seguirá asignando un oficial de policía en el campus y se aumentará el patrullaje en todas las escuelas.
Finalmente, se agradece a la comunidad por informar sobre este tipo de incidentes y se les recuerda que si ven algo, deben informar de inmediato.
MASACRE DE UVALDE, TEXAS
El 24 de mayo de 2022, Salvador Rolando Ramos, de 18 años, perpetró un tiroteo en la Escuela Primaria Robb en Uvalde, Texas, asesinando a 19 estudiantes y dos maestras, además de otras 17 personas resultaron heridas.
El joven fue abatido por la unidad táctica de la Patrulla Fronteriza de Estados Unidos.
Ramos, después de haber disparado a su abuela en su casa, se dirigió a la escuela y abrió fuego en el exterior durante unos cinco minutos antes de ingresar al edificio, donde se encerró en un aula y mató a las víctimas.
La policía local fue criticada por su conducta durante el tiroteo y está siendo investigada por las autoridades. Aunque el gobernador de Texas, Greg Abbott, inicialmente elogió la labor de los policías que respondieron, solicitó una investigación sobre la falta de acción por parte de los agentes de mayor rango, quienes esperaron 78 minutos antes de ingresar al aula para enfrentarse a Ramos.
La policía también acordonó la escuela, lo que provocó conflictos violentos con los civiles que intentaban rescatar a los niños.
Este es el tercer tiroteo escolar más mortífero en la historia de Estados Unidos, después de los tiroteos en Virginia en 2007 y la escuela primaria Sandy Hook en 2012.
