Inauguran Paseo Capital, el nuevo sello del Centro Histórico de Saltillo

El proyecto, en el que se invirtieron más de 35 mdp, fusiona el patrimonio histórico y cultural de Saltillo con su dinamismo comercial y turístico
En una obra que representa un nuevo sello para el Centro Histórico de Saltillo, autoridades inauguraron el Paseo Capital, proyecto que fusiona el patrimonio histórico y cultural de la ciudad con su dinamismo comercial y turístico.
El gobernador de Coahuila, Miguel Riquelme Solís; el gobernador electo de Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez; y el alcalde de Saltillo, José María Fraustro Siller, inauguraron la obra ubicada en el corazón de la capital de Coahuila y vuelve peatonales tramos de calles que eran vehiculares en Juárez y en Victoria, y rehabilita los andadores en Padre Flores, Ocampo y Abbott para integrarlos al mismo concepto.

“Este nuevo Paseo Capital será sólo el inicio de la conversión de nuestro Centro Histórico en uno más humano, inclusivo y con calidad; apto para todas y todos”, destacó el alcalde Chema Fraustro.
Por su parte, Riquelme Solís destacó el trabajo que realizó el Ayuntamiento de Saltillo para concretar este proyecto que representa un atractivo más de una ciudad como Saltillo.
“Sé la importancia de lo que representan proyectos como este, reconozco el trabajo del Alcalde de Saltillo también en la importante labor de conjuntar los intereses para su realización”, dijo Riquelme.
Manolo Jiménez Salinas afirmó que el Paseo Capital es un ejemplo más de que Saltillo es una de las mejores ciudades para vivir gracias a un trabajo constante que se realiza en equipo.
Autoridades detallaron que en la obra se invirtieron 35.7 millones de pesos en un área de 5 mil 630 metros cuadrados, de los cuales en 4 mil 850 se instaló piso rústico y se hicieron subterráneos y se renovaron líneas de telefonía, Comisión Federal de Electricidad, agua potable, drenaje sanitario, gas y fibra óptica.
También se colocaron jardineras, arbolado, bancas de descanso, luminarias tipo colonial, cestos de basura, líneas tacto podales para invidentes, semáforos peatonales audibles y rampas para personas con discapacidad.
Por otro lado, se instalaron 28 bancas tipo federal de acero y fundición en aluminio. En el cruce de Hidalgo y Juárez se colocó la rosa de los vientos y en la calle de Victoria se colocó una estatua monumental de un jinete de rodeo, la cual reconoce a Saltillo como la ciudad más vaquera del país.
