Intensifican en Torreón acciones preventivas contra vectores

TORREÓN, COAH. - Después de las precipitaciones que se presentaron en el municipio y con el cambio de temperaturas que eso representa, el personal de la Dirección de Salud Municipal intensificó las acciones contra vectores para prevenir y controlar su aparición.
Jorge Mario Galván Zermeño, titular de la dependencia, informó que la presencia de lluvias y el cambio de temperatura facilita el ciclo de vida de los mosquitos, desde la deposición de sus huevos hasta convertirse en larva, pupa y después en mosquito adulto transmisor de enfermedades. Por lo tanto, es indispensable tomar medidas al respecto.
Debido a lo anterior, mencionó que actualmente, el personal de la dependencia realiza acciones de cloración en agua estancada, fumigación y abatización contra mosquitos y garrapatas en la escuela Primaria Activo 20-30 en la colonia Cerro de la Cruz, al poniente de la ciudad.

Agregó que también se están atendiendo otros sectores como las colonias Zaragoza Sur y J. Luz Torres, además del Periférico Raúl López Sánchez, en la intersección con la avenida Juárez.
El funcionario recomendó a la ciudadanía utilizar repelente en caso de realizar alguna actividad en el exterior, colocar malla mosquitera en puertas y ventanas, usar ropa que cubra la máxima superficie de piel, despejar los patios de cacharros o cualquier recipiente que pueda acumular agua, mantener a los animales aseados y su área de esparcimiento limpia.
Finalmente, exhortó a la ciudadanía a comunicarse al centro de llamadas 073 para solicitar el servicio.
