Vecinos del norte de Saltillo protegen a un nogal de ser removido; exigen áreas verdes
Ciudadanos del sector norte de Saltillo piden que se respete el derecho de recreación y se consideren áreas verdes para la recreación de la ciudadanía.
Ante la construcción de nuevos edificios para negocios y desarrollos habitacionales, los vecinos de las colonias Jardín y Los Ángeles colocaron mantas para la protección del nogal ubicado en la calle Sauce.
Los trabajadores de la constructora, indicaron el pasado mes de julio que el nogal es emblemático y se cuidaría. Sin embargo, los vecinos del sector colocaron nueve mantas alrededor del sector para resaltar la importancia de contar con áreas verdes.
“Los desarrollos inmobiliarios deben tener su área verde y un entorno sustentable, no solo cemento y edificios”, “Queremos un tránsito sustentable para las familias del sector” y “Alto a las afectaciones”, son parte de lo que se leen en las mantas colocadas por los vecinos.

Las áreas verdes son parte de las obligaciones de las ciudades para el desarrollo de su población. La Comisión Nacional de Fomento a la Vivienda en México cuenta con un plan estratégico en donde indica que se debe poner atención no solo en la vivienda, sino en su entorno más inmediato, porque influye de forma directa en la adecuada operación de la vida en familia y en las relaciones sociales que puedan darse entre los habitantes de un desarrollo habitacional.
En su informe Diseño de Áreas Verdes en Desarrollos Habitacionales se indica que, además de brindar un espacio de esparcimiento agradable a la vista, contribuyen a mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas y con un diseño adecuado, pueden ayudar a la disminución de los costos que implica mantener una temperatura confortable en el hogar, además de promover el equilibrio ambiental y a darle plusvalía a la vivienda.
“Las condiciones están dadas, sin embargo, es sabido que cada acción de construcción de vivienda modifica el medio ambiente y este ejerce influencia directa en el bienestar del mismo ser humano”, se señala en el documento de la Comisión Nacional de Fomento a la Vivienda en México.
En este caso, Coahuila fue posicionado en el lugar número 30 como la entidad con registro de mayor porcentaje de pérdida de superficie cubierta de árboles con una reducción del 1.3 por ciento, de acuerdo al Índice de Competitividad Estatal 2023, del Instituto Mexicano para la Competitividad (IMCO).
El Instituto indica que esta pérdida de árboles puede tener un efecto considerable en la inversión y atracción de talento en el mediano y largo plazo.
