Este es un detalle digno de ser contado, porque el pitcheo combinado de los Naranjeros de Hermosillo lució el pasado domingo 11, al lanzar juego sin hit ni carrera, utilizando 7 lanzadores y apoyados por el bateo de Fernando Pérez y Luis Alfonso Cruz que conectaron cuadrangulares y Fausto Osorio quien impulsó una carrera más, para imponerse 3 carreras a 0, frente a los Águilas de Mexicali en el tercero y último compromiso de la serie de pretemporada 2020 de la Liga Mexicana del Pacífico en el Estadio Sonora.
Ahora hay que buscar donde agregar este juego como récord, porque fue en pretemporada.
César Vargas abrió por Hermosillo y tuvo una destacada actuación al lanzar 4 entradas en blanco donde ponchó 6 y dio 3 bases. Por Mexicali inició Eduardo Vera, sin carrera en las primeras 4 entradas. El segundo lanzador de Naranjeros fue el norteamericano Brian Ellington quien retiró en orden la quinta entrada.
En la conclusión de ese quinto inning fue cuando los Naranjeros anotó su primer carrera ante el relevo de Rodolfo Aguilar. Jasson Atondo abrió la tanda con imparable, se robó la segunda, llegó a tercera base en bola ocupada por rodado de José Cardona.y Fausto Osorio remolcó la carrera con hit al jardín izquierdo, anotando Atondo. Rafael Martín fue el tercer lanzador Hermosillo y retiró un inning en orden.
DOS CARRERAS MÁS EN EL SEXTO INNING
Naranjeros sumó 2 carreras en el sexto inning con jonrones consecutivos de Fernando Pérez y Luis Alfonso “Cochito” Cruz contra Alfredo Castañeda para el 3 a 0 definitivo.
Heriberto Ruelas fue el cuarto pitcher por Hermosillo lanzando la parte alta del séptimo inning y lo retiró en 3 bateadores incluyendo un ponche. En la octava entrada relevó el joven José Cerda, quinto pitcher Naranjeros y dominó a 3 bateadores que enfrentó.
Los 3 últimos outs del encuentro se lo repartieron 2 serpentineros, Joel Ibarra sexto pitcher, quien dominó a Luis Juárez para el primer tercio y después Wilmer Ríos, séptimo lanzador de Hermosillo quien se encargó de los 2 últimos outs del juego.
De esta forma el pitcheo de los Naranjeros lanzó el doble cero, juego sin hit ni carrera contra los Águilas en el tercer encuentro de pretemporada entre ambas novenas en el Estadio Sonora y no hubo presencia de aficionados para que lo disfrutaran.
El pitcher ganador fue Brian Ellington y la derrota se lo llevó Rodolfo Aguilar.
