Acelera industria automotriz en Coahuila; invierten en Región Centro

La empresa de capital Irlandés, Aptiv anunció el arranque de su nueva planta en Frontera que representa una inversión de 14.7 mdd y una generación de 3 mil 200 empleos, con ella llega a la entidad la nueva división de distribución eléctrica para la fabricación de arneses y con ello, será el inicio de la fortaleza de la Región Centro en el Clúster Automotriz en la parte eléctrica.
En el evento estuvo el gobernador Miguel Ángel Riquelme, los alcaldes de Frontera y Monclova, Roberto Piña y Mario Dávila, los secretarios de Economía y del Trabajo, Claudio Bres y Nazira Zogbi, así como el presidente de Distribución de Sistemas Eléctricos y Presidente de Aptiv Latinoamérica, Arturo Álvarez.
Este último señaló que en México tienen una experiencia de más de 43 años y son el empleador número uno en la industria manufacturera con más de 75 mil empleos, 29 plantas y dos centros técnicos.
A Coahuila llegaron en 1995, cuando instalaron la primera planta de componentes y sistemas de conexión y desde entonces han crecido, la nueva planta que está arrancando en Frontera, representa una inversión de 300 millones de pesos.
“El anuncio del día de hoy también significa la llegada de una división diferente a la que ya contamos en Coahuila, que es la división de Distribución Eléctrica, lo que llamamos EDS, que es el sistema nervioso del vehículo, el arnés, es la llegada de este negocio para Coahuila”, dijo.
Agregó que la llegada de Aptiv a Frontera es una excelente noticia para la Región Centro, saben que existe el talento y las condiciones que se necesitan para tener una operación exitosa.
