Piden hoteleros apoyo a Jericó Abramo para regularizar a Airbnb

Como lo había anticipado, la Asociación Mexicana de Hoteles y Moteles de Coahuila envió una carta al diputado federal Jericó Abramo Masso para solicitarle su apoyo para la regularización de los Airbnb.
La carta, con fecha 21 de julio de 2023, cuenta con la firma del presidente y vicepresidente de la AMHMC, Enrique Ayala Quintanilla y Héctor Horacio Dávila Rodríguez, asimismo con copia para el gobernador Miguel Ángel Riquelme y la secretaria de Turismo, Azucena Ramos.

En ella señalan que el sector hotelero está seriamente preocupado por la situación de la plataforma Airbnb y la competencia desleal que significa, pues ha dejado al sector hotelero en todo el estado en una situación comprometida y como ejemplo ponen a Cuatro Ciénegas, donde 60% de los hospedajes que se ofrecen por Airbnb no cuenta con plan de contingencia, de protección civil y de salubridad.
Aunado a ello, dicen, lo más peligroso es que no se sabe el tipo de gente que está llegando al estado, por ello exhortaron a las autoridades que se ponga orden a esa competencia desleal que no tiene regulación de precios (van de los 600 a los 4 mil 500 pesos), pero tampoco en la calidad del servicio y sobre todo en los huéspedes.
Por ello, en la carta piden que a esas unidades de hospedaje de Airbnb cuenten con un RNT (Registro Nacional de Turismo), que paguen impuestos como el Impuesto Sobre Hospedaje (ISH) como las demás unidades hoteleras, así como el IVA, además de que están al corriente y dado de alta ante el SAT para que puedan ofrecer factura.
A inicios de esta semana el sector hotelero ya había anticipado que mandaría una carta al diputado federal, mientras que la secretaria de Turismo, Azucena Ramos, comenó que en dos meses más estarían firmando un convenio con Airbnb.
